About Big Bend Station

Big Bend Station is a lodge and RV park located very close to the entrance to Big Bend National Park, making it an amazing and convenient location for exploring the area. It is near Terlingua, local eateries, restaurants, and a gas station. The lodge rooms are accessible only from the outside. Rooms are fairly large, neat and clean, offering amenities like a fridge, microwave, coffee maker, TV, storage space, bathroom, and good Wi-Fi. Some rooms are newly renovated. However, some rooms can be small, the bathroom can be pretty small and cramped, and the floor may not be perfectly level. The bed is quite firm. The walls are thin and not soundproofed, so noise from neighbors can be heard. The RV park is big and spacious, offering pull-through sites with full hookups. On-site activities include horseback riding and UTV tours with great guides. There are mixed reports on cleanliness. While some find rooms neat, others report they aren’t very clean, noting dusty floors, dead bugs, and hairs in linens. The pillows are described as cheap and thin. The lodge does not offer any food or breakfast. Exterior lights are red to minimize light pollution for stargazing. Customer service is noted as excellent and helpful. Some concerns are raised about the shared RV park facilities, suggesting showers should be free and noting toilet issues. The location is consistently praised as a great steal and the primary reason for recommending a stay, despite some flaws.
