The hotel and the room we stayed in were poorly maintained. In the common areas the rug, walls, and doors were all stained, and there was clearly deferred maintenance.
Our room smelled a little odd, was quite humid, had strangly damp and sticky rugs, and had mold around some of the edges. The were also some crumbs on the floor. Also there was only cool water coming out of the shower, even after waiting for almost 10 minutes.
At least the beds were clean and comfortable.

The rooms and halls are full of roaches, I was in one room and asked for another one just to find roaches again. The stove, curtains, and toilet was just nasty. I would never stay here again, and I was supposed to be staying here for about a week but could not even make it the first night

This location is shabby and needs to be refurbished. While our room was clean and the sheets fresh, it was not well lit. The ADA bath worked okay for my husband, the hand held was not easy to move up and stay. The soap, shampoo and rinse were not placed conveniently to the seat. There is a 2X2 hole at the base of the vanity near the shower through which a cockroach came through. It did not end well for it. We will not be returning.

Had to come get something from friends room and there was two roaches in the bathroom and one crawling on the outside of the building. Yuck!

Overall if you are budget conscious then it shouldnt be so bad of a stay. It's older than I thought, staff was super nice, but there was always a diaper smell on the second floor and whoever stayed above me should learn to walk without stomping and banging on things. 2 hours of that on my last night and I had to call the front desk. Could have been kids but either way it was probably the worst part about the stay. They are still banging now after I called. If you want something nicer and probably more people who are nicer above you and not make so much racket probably look for the Hampton Inn, Fairfield, or Hilton Garden.
UPDATE HAD TO TAKE MINE FROM 3 STAR TO 1 STAR. MUTLIPLE CALLS HAVE BEEN MADE TO THE FRONT DESK AND WHOEVER IS ABOVE ME SEEMS LIKE THEY ARE INTENTIONALLY STOMPING. IM BEYOND PISSED. I HAVE TO WORK IN THE MORNING.

On our way back to Houston from Ohio and we liked that this Candlewood was in a good area and seemed clean from the outside, and had a good price for a quick one night stay. My sister and I finally get in bed at 3am after driving for 14 hours and flip the covers back and find a dog tick crawling under the sheets. We had our dog with us and luckily is on prevention and had not been on the bed. We checked her and seems fine. Front desk seemed a little annoyed we bothered them but apologized and agreed to give us a refund so we still waiting on that. We drove across the street to the Hampton and they were very accommodating and got us in a room swiftly despite the 3am arrival.

Ms Joe was amazing. My friend and I were really stressed out during check in. I only had Apple Pay available and had to wait for a family member to come and use their card. Ms Joe was very kind and patient with us. She let us borrow her umbrella when a surprise thunderstorm hit. I don’t visit Texarkana often but will be coming back to this hotel as long as ms Joe is there. Thank you so much for your kindness.

Its an aging Candlewood brand location. It could use an update. The elevators are not working well, the hotel key system works sporadically.

Nice clean place, front desk clerk was friendly. Rented and paid for 2 room but one wasn't used due to my son's flight from Dallas was canceled due to storms and they had to stay in hotel in Dallas.

Parking lot lights were out so lot was pitch black. The clerk at reception was very blasé about checking me in and grunted more than spoke. Truly, when I walked up, he just looked at me and looked back down. I waited, thinking he was in the middle of something. He finally looked back up at me and just watched me until I said I was here to check in. The room was musty even though the air was running. Everything in the room was broken, damaged, or dirty - the curtains, the arm chair, the wall, the light switch, the drawer in the bathroom, the wall of the shower. The bed was pushed up against the wall because our room was so small. We had to climb over each other to get into bed.

Everything was great with the exception of on top stove grill it wasn't working. I report it twice and kept saying some one will come but it never happen! Next day I asked the front and they said part was being ordered!? WTH!? I has to deal with one grill only.

Such terrible customer service. We found a roach. No refund offered, no help from the rude front desk staff. When I asked if they knew if they had roaches he said he didn’t know. Clearly they don’t read their reviews as I am not the only one. Do not stay here
