Trainer, Danielle, is very good and knowledgeable in her field. My Old English Sheepdog, Faith has. completed Beginners and Advanced class and will be starting Canine Good Citizen July 13. These classes have been so helpful as we deal with “puppy issues” in everyday life.

I've been taking my Goldendoodle to Pet Smart for a year now, initially in Spring, TX. We just moved to Texarkana in January and unfortunately my experience with Texarkana Pet Smart grooming has been very questionable and dishonest. I was told that my dog's fur was matted in a spot on top of his head and it needed to be shaved. I brush my doodle every day and check his fur to make sure it's not. I've also noticed on two occasions a groomer whispering something to another groomer prior to the 2nd check for matting. I always paid for extra services when it was warranted. I also leave generous tips for the groomers because I understand he is a large dog and still in puppy mode. The suggestions were to shave his head or take him home to try and remove the matted hair because the groomer could not shampoo/blow dry if its matted, which he did not have. Another groomer chimed in and asked if I give him calming treats prior to, which made me realize, this is not because he is matted, it's because he gets overstimulated and is probably hard to groom. If this is the case, honesty is best. I believe because it takes a lot of time to groom him, these particular groomers found an excuse not to do it. This experience was a disappointment and an inconvenience. Pet Smart will no longer have my business.

Abusive. They are keeping chameleons in glass enclosures which is a known cause for respiratory infections. In addition to that the humidity is too high for a veiled chameleon, which are native to desert environments in Yemen. There is substrate on the ground which causes intestinal blockages and ultimately death if it is consumed. There is no space for them to climb, which causes immense stress in tree dwelling animals. The employee I mentioned it to was incredibly dismissive and didn’t seem to care that these conditions can lead to the death of this poor animal. It’s disgusting to see someone in charge of their care be so indifferent to their suffering.

Terrible service, one groomer mentioned “ are they always this terrible when you want to leave (referring to the dogs)… we picked up our dog and she is bleeding! How do you now say anything? An accident maybe but no care for the injury?!

Not sure what has happened to the location, but in the last couple of months the customer service is terrible. Every time I go into this store for crickets I’m guaranteed no less than a 15 minute wait. Not sure why other Petsmart stores have them pre bagged, but not this store. I was there yesterday and this was the 3rd time I’ve left without crickets. The fish department is extremely busy and the guy is doing all he can do. They had 4 people in the office (they said they were off the clock) and I was told they paged someone, but that person never came. I don’t know what’s going on here, but it’s not good.

Brought my dog to PetSmart two months in a row for a bath and brush and get his claws trimmed. Both times his claws were not clipped. This is now month TWO that his claws are having to go untrimmed due to people in the grooming dept. not knowing how to control a dog when it comes time for the claws to be clipped, if you don’t want to do your job right then find another job to do because clearly this is not for you. I will be finding another groomers for my dog. This is absolutely ridiculous.
