I’ve visited this location three times, and each visit has been underwhelming. Compared to other Discount Tire locations I’ve been to, the service here lacks the same level of friendliness, organization, and efficiency.

The best tire service in Texas City! Went in for a tire replacement and they did it so fast! Obviously I’m a customer so I had the warranty, but they took care of my needs.
Also they got me some rims I wanted in less than an hour! Got them installed the same day I asked about them! Awesome people working there! In would like to note Jeremy, Robert and young Bryan who attended my truck and let me know what was going on. They got me in and out within the hour. P.s also ordered some rims and got there in 40 minutes!

First of all, I would like to say discount tire always comes through (On Clutch) when you need help you can always depend on them, but this day in particular, which was last weekend I had a complete blowout. Luckily, I had an air compressor to put a little bit of air in my tire to make it to the discount tire, which was closed, but they still had a few cars in the bay, Domingo came right to my rescue after the store was already closed. He changed my entire tire. It pays to get the warranty on your tires. He did not have to do that since the store was already closed, but he went over and beyond and for that, I am so grateful because I needed it. If anyone should make employee of the month, it should be Domingo. Over all discount counter tire is top notch, but employee Domingo is the top notch employee! Don't hate celebrate. You guys should be happy and lucky you have someone like that on your team reviews mean the most especially to your future customers you rock Domingo thank you so much for your help.

I went to discount tire in Texas City this morning for my monthly air pressure check on my tires and Jeremy pointed out one of my wipers didn't look right and he replaced them at a reasonable price in under 15 minutes thank you Jeremy for pointing that out Jeremy was very courteous and helpful

I took my truck to have it rotated and balanced and they balanced the tires properly. The air leaked from the valves. I had to wait two hours, in addition to the ones I had waited the day before. The warranties never cover anything. Terrible service and they could cause an accident.

The staff is especially excellent. I had an appointment set for 9:00 am but arrived before the store opened. I was content to wait till my appointment time reading. The store opened promptly at 8am. I'm embarrassed to say but I forgot the name of the service person's name but he came to check on ME. He was me seating in my car and when the doors opened, I didn't make my way in. He just wanted to make sure that I was alright. I told him that my appointment was at 9 and I didn't want to impose on other customers. He pointed out that there was only one customer there and he could service my car right away. He has my cars tires rotated, balanced and new wipers in 18 minutes. That a rare thing now days, customer service!!!!

I had made an appointment because I knew I had something was wrong with one tire. It was first thing on a Monday morning so I figured that was the best thing to do. It was... The minute I arrived they were ready for me! I was in and out in less than 30 minutes. They're not so good news was I did have a nail in my tire... But it was repairable and I was back on the road!

I want to extend my deepest gratitude to Domingo Gomez, Assistant Manager at Discount Tire, for his incredible compassion and help on a Saturday morning when I needed it most. I discovered a nail in my driver-side tire, and unfortunately, it couldn’t be repaired due to low tread. With my vehicle being all-wheel drive and the remaining tires in similar worn condition, I was faced with needing to replace all four tires—something I was overdue for but financially unprepared to handle.
As a mother of four daughters, this situation was overwhelming, and the timing couldn’t have been worse. Domingo stepped in with kindness, understanding, and a solution. He helped me navigate special financing options and applied available discounts, all while making my family’s safety his top priority.
In today’s world, where hardships are many and genuine human compassion feels rare, Domingo’s stellar customer service and willingness to go above and beyond meant everything. I cannot fully express how much his help meant to me during such a stressful time. If you’re ever in need and looking for someone who truly cares, you may be fortunate enough to cross paths with someone like Domingo Gomez at Discount Tire in Texas City, Texas. Thank you, immensely!

I needed my 2 front tires replaced and had been avoiding it for a long time because I did not have the wheel lock for the lugnut. This location was able to break the wheel locks off because no tire shop has these wheel locks yet being a brand new car😭 already been to discount and ntb at other locations and no one offered the service of breaking the locks off even after sitting down and NTB with one of their employees and testing probably 100 different wheel keys between the both of us🤦 I explained this very scenario to this discount tire and immediately offered a solution no one else had. Not to speak the grand total for both tires was around 235 bucks and they let me swing them for 210 dollars. I will be contacting them when it time to change the rear and have the wheel locks broken off of those as well for normal lugnut replacement. Thanks!

UPDATED 3/22/25 - I had to come back again for another nail on my tire (I blame IH45 S construction) and once again, everyone was SO NICE. They got me taken care of quickly and were pleasant to interact with. Honestly, since I moved here, I've had some not great service from other locations in Texas City. They could all learn a thing or two from this Discount Tire location. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
3 words - Big Daddy Energy. Service was amazing and I was so grateful they got me in at the last minute. I needed a tire replaced but I work until 5:30 so I was worried about getting there too late. When I called, they told me no problem and to just come in. He even told me to drive safe, as he knew I was rushing to get there before they closed. 🙈 They were kind, quick, efficient, and super friendly! Every single worker I dealt with was amazing! I will absolutely trust my car and all of my tire needs to this location! A+++
