“We chose Children's lighthouse because we wanted more than just a glorified babysitting service, we wanted our girls to actually learn and that is what we got. The staff is awesome and teach our girls through lots of interactive activities. They are learning so much more than we expected. The food is healthy and tasty. The environment inside each classroom is perfectly suited for each age group with lots of hands on learning activities. The administration is very informative and caring to make sure the parents are informed of upcoming activities and get to know each child. Overall, we should have come here a long time ago. Definitely pleased with the Children's lighthouse and you will be too.”
“My son Damauri is in Mrs. Vivian's class and I can't say enough good things about her!!! I want to thank her for putting the love of learning in my son's heart, for being patient, kind and loving. “One of the greatest things about the goodard school is how well they retain their teachers. We've been around for 4 years and our boys love being able to go back and visit their favorite teachers.
Mrs. Cindy in the pre k room is a magician. Both boys grew so much with her.
Mrs. Elva, Mrs. Cheryl, Mrs. Alex, Mrs. Ashley, Mrs. Cynthia, Mrs. Brenda, Mrs Karleigh and Mrs. Mary. We have been so happy with all of the staff.

“If your thinking about enrolling your child/ren here DO IT!!! I Couldnt be happier with the decision I made to send my twins to south shore kinder care and this location specifically. Paige and Brittani always go above and beyond for the children and the staff, there has been many times when my twins were still infants and they have carried a carseat to my car for me, im very grateful to have found this daycare and the ppl in it. My sons have been at this daycare for a year and I dont plan to move them anywhere else, im willing to drive long distances just to make sure my boys are treated fairly and well taken care of! My sons will cry to be dropped off at daycare, they love their teacher Soraya she is so sweet and patient. The directors are very punctual when it comes to sickness and injuries. I always know when there is any type of incident right after they doctor my children up. Thank you for all the hard work and dedication and patience it takes to be child care workers and vall are much appreciated!!”

“I rarely write reviews, but I was so overwhelmed by the caliber of this business that I felt compelled to share my experience. I am a nurse and needed my BLS/CPR for HCP's updated and that is one of the services offered here. I have been through this same class (in different cities) 4 times over the last several years and each time I left thinking "If a situation arises where someone needs CPR, I won't do it".. I thought this because after the classes I still didn't feel like I was competent to perform CPR. That changed recently when I went in for a CPR skills session at Gulf Coast Emergency Response Training. First off, the owner, Tammy, scheduled me within a day of my contacting them and she performed my skills session one-on-one herself. She taught me things that I never was taught in all the previous CPR classes. The price was unbelievably low - $25. And what about the equipment! Brand new, CLEAN, mannequins that were electronic and had little lights on the shoulders. If you were performing the chest compressions correctly, you would get 3 green lights... if you were not, they were red. They also had AED's (defibrillators) that were just like the real thing. Previous classes I had taken didn't even have AED's, and the mannequins were dirty and scary looking. Bottom line is this: Because of the outstanding training I got from this place and Tammy in particular, I now feel competent to give CPR when the need arises, on adults, children, and even infants! And that is the whole goal of being CPR certified.”

“Our daughter attended Moody Methodist Day School for about 2.5 years. We started her in the 2 to 3 year old class and only recently took her out as we were moving out of state. We absolutely loved the program at Moody, the teachers were wonderful and very caring and our daughter absolutely flourished during her time there. We'd highly recommend Moody to anyone looking for an excellent daycare in the Galveston area!”
