Texas City Dike is a great place for beginners and experts to fish, though it may be overcrowded. It offers a great view of the water and is a beautiful place to visit, even at night when it is well lit. Recent improvements mean the entire Dike is clean, with beaches up and down. Camping is available and is considered safe and relaxing, with security patrols. Entry costs $10 per car per day for non-residents, while Texas City residents have free entry. There are no showers, and it can get very windy. A fishing license is required, and there is a bait shop on site.
Beginning to fish? No problem, this place is great for beginners and great for experts, yeah it may be overcrowded. If you know, or don't know how to fish ... come in the morning you'll catch a fish. Make sure to have a fishing license prior, and to swing by the baitshop.
