TA took my call right before closing and I explained the issue, got me right in, Will worked on my truck and resolved my valve stem issue right before the holiday. I brought in a 1980 Chevy C10 to get an alignment. They did the alignment and it was good. This is not a daily driver or weekend warrior. This truck only gets used to go to car shows with less than 400 miles driven per year. I noticed a clunking in the front suspension and saw the nuts on the upper control arm are loose and some shims are sitting below that. I called NTB assuming they’d take care of it since they know how many miles were on the truck when they did the alignment and they can see that it’s got very little miles on it since the alignment. They said it’s out of the warranty period and they no longer do this type of alignment. I guess leaving parts loose is why they don’t do these old trucks anymore ??♂️ I was told to take it to one of the other NTB’s because it was a bigger shop but I don’t think I’ll be spending my money at NTB in the future.
UPDATE:
I got a call saying they wanted to correct the issue and wasted even more of my time. I dropped off my truck and got an Uber home. They call me 15 minutes later and say they can’t fix it because they don’t have specs to align my truck. They “aligned “ it before and took my money but now they can’t because their computer doesn’t have alignment specs for this 1980 truck. Their software only goes as old as 1983 and they won’t align it to my specs. The manager said none of the NTB’s in the area can do it because they don’t have any technicians that know how to do it. But they sure knew how to take my money and leave the control arm loose.
You’ve been warned.
