I would not rent a vehicle from this Avis location. I rented and returned a vehicle at this location September of 2024. This month August 2025, I received a bill for unspecified tire damage. I did not have a flat tire or any other tire issue during my trip.
I contacted Avis Corporate about this charge and minutes later they dismissed it.
Looking at other reviews, it looks like they have serious integrity issues

Made a reservation over a week in advance. When I arrived on time to pick up, no cars available. Completely unacceptable. Never be back

I am absolutely livid and exhausted. I booked a rental through Uber and received a link today to confirm and complete my pre-check. However, my reservation was suddenly canceled. After being given the runaround by multiple Avis customer service agents and spending two hours on hold, I was finally informed that they are completely sold out and booked for days to come. This experience has been nothing short of awful. Just returning from an international trip, I am now left scrambling to find a last-minute rental car. To make matters worse, I was told I would need to physically visit the location to see if I could book another Uber rental. This is by far the worst customer service I have ever encountered. This is my second—and definitely my last—attempt at doing business with Avis.

Avis is a perfect rental company. Always located at the airport Terminal. Vehicle always available.

Avis agent told me I had to provide my own insurance. She lied or is ignorant. In both the Uber app and the Avis app under my trips I’m told there is insurance on the car but because I believed her I wasted two days trying to get insurance on it. You cannot ensure a car unless it is owned financed or leased. Since I was not the owner, nor was I leasing or financing it, neither my insurance company or any other insurance company. I talk to would ensure the car. This was two days of lost wages. That wasn’t bad enough… It is very difficult to find fast charging stations in the Houston area. Most of the charging stations in Houston are the slow chargers. A slow charger only gives about 4 miles of driving distance per hour. As a full-time Uber driver this is a nightmare. Avis, you should be ashamed of yourselves for even offering an electric car in the Houston area exclusively for use by rideshare drivers.

People are mean here. I returned car 1 day earlier and they would not refund. They would not even drop off me in 5 minutes, instead letting me walk 30 minutes. Bad experience. Never go there again.

They steal your money! They will charge u extra weeks and for "tolls" with no invoice! Corporate will say it's the hub who bills you, the hub will say it's corporate is the one that will bill you and nither of them will be accountable! Avoid avis them at all costs!

Worst experience ever, they gave me a car with a whole in the tire and they acted like you can go do it yourself, also so so rude both .as if I’m renting it for free. I booked a car and when I arrived they down -graded to smaller car with the same price, I never ever experienced this my life usually I get upgrade if they are short on cars, please don’t reply with your useless msg, act right from the beginning. I will never use Avis again.
