Have not used their phone line so maybe that's where the negative reviews are coming from but the on person service was great. Very quick and they have treats inside, which is a bonus.

Why can I never talk to anyone at The WOODLANDS location? For almost 2 years I’ve called this location & not once get a live person at this location. Always another State I’m confused I was spoiled with Fidelity around the corner as I knew everyone that worked there & I parked in same parking lot where building is. If it was convenient to go there I would but I have to park in a parking garage & then walk for 10 minutes to get there. I leave messages with the manager and other employees there and they don’t return my calls. Is this new normal?

I love all the tools but customer service is spotty. I had to call 4 different locations just to get someone to answer and the 1 800 was awful.

I am so impressed with the service I received here at Schwab. My first visit - with Aamina - was great. I felt listened to and respected. I had been with a personal financial adviser for years and was getting very frustrated with their lack of care and results. So I called Schwab directly - and I am so glad that I did. Thank you Aamina for your wonderful advice and compassion!!

Do not use them for banking! I moved to Houston recently for a new employer and had to open a new checking account because my old bank was local and the $5k check was for more than mobile banking allowed. Although they are not the typical bank I chose them because they reimburse atm fees globally. Fantastic, right?! I went in over a week ago to open a checking account and set up an IRA to roll $50k of 401k into, stressing my need to have access to my cash as soon as possible, so I could put a deposit and first months rent down. I was advised to just use a brokerage account, that checks and debit card would be mailed in 3-5 business days, and was never told my funds would be held! After checking in about why I had not received my debit card or checks, I was told they had never even been mailed and would need to open a checking account for that. Oh, and by the way, my funds would be held until Oct 1st. Oh, and btw, the checks won't be mailed until there is actually money in the checking account, and oh, btw, I cannot transfer funds from the brokerage account to the checking account until the funds are no longer being held. I am officially fuming but I need access to my $5k, so okay, I open the checking. I check in to my account daily...it shows the CHECKS HAVE CLEARED and STILL my account is being held! The 1st is now here and guess what...the funds are still held and now suddenly they have no idea when they might be cleared! I am officially out of cash in my old account, bills are coming due starting today for the next week, and now my credit report will be affected all while I am trying to get approved for a new place! F this company. I have gotten nothing but false promises and the run around from everyone. As soon as I am able I will be closing this account and most certainly will not be rolling my 401k into their IRA.
