These guys are "slick" really screwed us on repairs. Supposed to replace bevel and other work all they did was clean the case. Overpriced..no work done..Watch out when working with these thieves..totally arrogant dont give a dam about you or your clock. Service warranty?? Whats that? These guys really suck!

I have had nothing but good experiences with The Clock Shop. They have fixed both of the clocks that my parents bestowed on me quickly and for a reasonable price. Then my grandmother clock dropped a weight and Greg got me on his schedule within a week and came out to my house to fix it. Beyond polite and professional. Very thankful that I have them to look after my family heirlooms.

Took my clock in to be fixed and he said he would not fix it and good luck finding someone that would fix it.

First, I am not in Arizona. I'm in The Woodlands, Texas area. I must have mistaken this shop for a 5 star shop I found before engaging this service provider. I needed help with packing my grandfather clock for moving across the state. I called and spoke with whom I believed to be the owner and explained that I needed the clock disassembled and packed into its original box I have retained for many years. I was told a tech would arrive and take care of this. NEVER was there a mention that the tech would not pack the clock into its box. The tech arrived and hopefully secured the clock's workings then packed the pendulum and weights into the original packaging I provided to him. His work took less than 15 minutes. When I said that it needed to go into the original box, the tech argued with me and said that it needed to be wrapped into a packing blanket and it would be fine. I let him help me wrap the clock into the blanket, and--like an idiot and paying WAY too much--the tech left and I finished reassembling my clock box and maneuvering the blanket-wrapped clock into the box and securing it with its original packing materials. I rock. This clock shop does not. If all were right, I would receive a refund of at least $150 for the service provided, which wasn't much.

If you are looking for friendly customer service; this is not the place. If you are satisfied with rude and condescending customer service, this is definitely the place for all of your clockwork needs. Update: It wasn't even an estimate. It was plain rudeness on your part. Most owners would aplogize and see what they could do to make things right......you just insult the customer once again! Good way to lose customers!

Didn't have much experience with The Clock Shop, as I sent in an inquiry regarding their ability to repair an antique clock and never got a response other than a generic automated reply.Submitted an online form stating the clock I had and inquiring if they could help. Automated response I received was: "We will respond to you before the close of our next business day." Well, it's obviously it's been beyond the "next" business day - unless they're on vacation (which should have been noted in the automated response). Of course, after sending in my inquiry and then reading the Yelp and Google reviews, I decided this was NOT the place to bring a family heirloom anyway.A response would have been nice, but obviously that was too much to ask. If my inquiry is an indication of how they treat their customers, I'd just as soon look for a different shop - which is exactly what I'm doing.

I called The Clock Shop to ask about fixing my Grandfather's clock on 8/19/2022. I told them I took the mechanism out and tried to fix it myself. I asked if they could fix it. They told me to bring it in. I took it in and the owner looked at it and said it would be $500 to fix it seeing how I brought the mechanism in and another $150 to bring it to that house to install it. I called the wife and she said ok on the amount. I told him I was getting it fixed for my wife who has cancer. I called him on Monday 8/21/2022 to ask how things were going and he said he would fix it today. He never called to say there was going to be extra cost involved. His son brought it to the house on 8/22/2022 to install it. After he gave me the bill it was $974.25. I told him it was only supposed to be $650 he said they had to put 2 new cables in and straighten the shaft. that was supposed to be included in the $650. Like I said they never called to see if it was ok to just fix it without my authorization for the higher price. I want my $324.25 back that they overcharged me.

This old man is a jerk!! I walked in carrying a clock that I was interested in maybe having repaired and walked out thinking what a ahole!! Working with customers my whole life, this was an example of a burned out old man. He was rude and had no interest in working on this clock quoting me 700.00 to fix and I walked out shaking my head. He can stick his biz right up his butt.

All of these bad reviews are exactly what we experienced with The Clock Shop. The owner's son is argumentative, rude & a smart a*** No wonder he couldn't work for anyone else after college other than his dad. We paid $450 to have our clock fixed & it still doesn't work. We took it back & he said it's your problem.

I took my 1857 Gustav Becker wall clock in and was charged $600 to rebuild it with a 1 yr warranty. The clock does not work so I took it back and they say nothing is wrong and it is my problem not theirs. I find Bill Kane (owner) and his son Greg to both be rude, irascible and argumentative. The only good things I can point to are the many wondrous time pieces they have in the shop and the dog that they keep as a pet. I do not recommend this business and would recommend that all stay away unless you are purposely looking for a reason to ruin your day.

Came out & took clock mechanism to shop for repair. Came back 1 week later & put clock back together. Westminister chimes were reversed & could not get it to gong on the right hour (example: gongs 3 times for 2 pm). Then the minute hand fell off. Left 5 messages & was totally ignored; never returned my calls since he had my money. Now I have to have another repair shop come out & fix it. NO WAY would I ever call this person again.

The work done on our grandfather clock seems to have been done ok. Somewhat pricey. The owner's son picked it up, cleaned/repaired it, and returned it. He was condescending each time he came to the house and on the phone. My biggest concern is that they record full credit card information on the work ticket (number, expiry, security code, and billing zip) despite processing the charge by phone call to the shop while in front of you. Owner's son said they keep those tickets on file - with credit card info. When questioned, he snarkily said the county commissioner said they could. Texas County Commissioner has zero to do with credit card transactions in retail businesses. I called the shop to speak to the owner and one of the sons answered. Me: Is the owner available? Son: How can I help you? Me: Are you the owner? Son: That's not important. How can I help you? Bottom line - your credit card data will be at risk and you will over pay for the transaction.
