Just stopped into the book store while driving through town. Ms. Barbara has lots of old gems hidden on the shelves and in the warehouse. I was able to purchase several early edition Boy Scout books for my collection as well as for my daughter who is soon to be an Eagle Scout.

Entered store and had storekeeper come out of office stating "if the door bell doesn't ring I am liable to come out with a gun". My wife and I stated that the doorbell did ring. She chose to argue the point of what constituted a door bell ring. We decided it was time to leave. Totally unprofessional way to interact with customers. That is our first and last encounter with that business.

You really can't beat $1 paperbacks and $2 hardcovers. The building is very large for the small storefront they have, but that is because the majority of their 180,000 books are listed online. I have done business with both the storefront and online sales. They specialize in used, out-of-print, and rare books, so I was told not to expect anything 10 years or younger, although they do occasionally have them. The owner has made it clear that they are not a book finding service unless you are willing to pay for both the book you are searching for as well as for their time searching for your book (the internet is a vast place).
