I have been renting a storage unit for many years here. At one time we even had our office here. The most friendliest, kindest people ever. I drove from Dallas and my key didn’t work. I called the corporate office and Michelle was willing to drive over to help me! Would recommend public storage to anyone and everyone!!

I’m extremely disappointed with how Public Storage handles pricing. Without any warning, they increased my rate by over 30%—a significant jump for no added benefit. They claim they emailed a notice 45 days in advance, but I never received it. It wasn’t in my inbox, spam, or trash. If they were genuinely concerned about transparency, they could have easily sent an in-app notification. But that would remove their plausible deniability.
Even worse, when I checked current pricing for similar units, I found that my original rate was already higher than what's being offered today. It’s clear what’s going on here: they lure you in with one rate, knowing that once your belongings are stored, you're less likely to move them again. Then they jack up the price, hoping you’ll stay put out of convenience.
This business model feels predatory and disingenuous. I will not be recommending Public Storage to anyone looking for honest, upfront service.

We have been returning customers for public storage for a long time. Paid every month in time and always respected the premises. Our mother died and we emptied her storage to help pay for her bills. Family traveled from afar to help with retrieval. The day we had trucks scheduled to empty trash from said storage was a bad storm and had to be the next day which was the 2nd day of the month. They demanded payment for the whole month because rent is due in the 1st. Would not prorate, nor discuss a possible ONE DAY GRACE. ONE DAY GUYS!!! Further more we were patient in waiting on some one to show up there that could help us or even speak with us about the next day retrieval. Never anyone around when you need them. We were good customers. And we were treated like crap in the mist of a death in the family even. Bad business, bad customer service. Cherry on cake, we had to pay for the whole month, they erased our acct. number and rented it out to someone else so they got double rent. How’s that for a honest business model.
Go somewhere besides here they treat you like trash!!!

I’d look for other places first and use this as a last resort option.
I was forced to get their insurance despite State Farm covering my rental unit. I submitted paperwork well before the deadline as well as called and 2 days before the payment was due they issued me a denial letter. I stayed a few months after that, then they raised the price significantly (over 25%) the next month. The property manager stated that they could offer a different unit that was the same size, with my previous move out rate, but was unable to state why my current unit was raising prices. So if you want to move your stuff all over the property every few months- this is the place for you.
The property manager has been less than helpful in this whole process because corporate customer service will tell you one thing and this location will tell you another. Then when you relay that message to corporate they state that’s not the way it should be done.
Not to mention if you use an indoor unit, be prepared to see roaches and bugs in the hallway. Everytime I’ve been there over the last 5 months there have been several bugs (both alive and dead) in the halls.

I’ve had my storage unit with Public Storage for many years and have dealt with many property managers but I have to say that the manager now, Tara, is by far the most informed person that they have working for them that I have dealt with. Friendly and understanding your issues come to mind when speaking of her. She lets you know how she feels your pain if you have an issue. This woman needs a raise or a career ladder move. Thanks Tara for your kindness!!!

If there was a negative star, that is where they would be. DO NOT RENT HERE. they are just after your money and do nothing to improve the property in correlation with the price increases. We had our rates increased every couple of months, until the last increase where they wanted to raise the rate $300 more than the current rate. NOPE! We found another spot, with a bigger storage bay and saved $400 per month.
