Great service at a reasonable price! Staff professional and friendly. Had a damaged exhaust pipe replaced. Entire process took about 30 minutes. Would definitely recommend.

I was referred to New Sar Muffler on Spring Cypress by my regular repair shop when I needed a new muffler on my 2008 Jeep Wrangler. I arrived without an appointment and after an examination of my Jeep, I was given several options for the muffler replacement. I made my selection (a quieter muffler that would eliminate the loud drone of the current muffler). The work was completed in approximately 30 minutes. The new muffler looks good, sounds great (quiet) to me, and is securely mounted (the old muffler had developed a rattle). I am very happy with the work performed by New Star Muffler and the fair price charged for this work.

Beware these people are crooks!! I took my 2024 ram in for an inspection and they did not tell me it would not pass, because of the tint until after I paid. They knew from the start because that was the first thing they checked. I took it to another and they told me upfront it wasn’t going to pass. I however was able to get it inspected at dealer no problem.

New Star Muffler has been my go-to since they opened. As a fellow mechanic, I appreciate how fair they are with pricing—not just for me, but for everyone. The owner consistently goes above and beyond to help, even working with me to take care of my own customers when it comes to exhaust or muffler work. It’s hard to find shops that operate with this kind of honesty and integrity. Highly recommend.

After reviewing all of the reviews I can only give them a 3 star. I am still waiting for them to complete the cat replacements. I pray it goes as quoted and there are not any other failures that pop up. The price was reasonable and I am grateful for that. The only true complaints I have are customer service. When talking to them on the phone they were great; once they got your vehicle pulled in is when the poor customer service started. I was standing outside there shop and smoking when the manager told me I was not allowed to smoke and i needed to go stand on the other side of his shop. There was no signs saying no smoking or an area market off that said smoking only. I would understand if I was at a place that had kids or lady’s etc. but there was just his 4 guys and one other male customer at the time. I would think we are all grown men and they could deal with a little smoke. Also note the wind is blowing. To top it off after I finished my cigarette and walked back over outside the shop where my truck was; I had one of the technicians tell me i could not stand there and had to go wait inside the office.
It’s truly sad there is no customer service. I just have to keep praying for God to come back and end all this craziness.
