Great atmosphere. Friendly staff. Clean facilities. Wide variety of gym equipment & accommodates all different styles of lifting weights. They offer classes & have child care. Sauna in the barbell building locker rooms, the BEST! Matt is one of the personal trainers there, he is awesome & was definitely worth the investment! I also go to Bryan at MoveItB located in Rise Gym, he has helped me with shoulder & lower back pain which has helped my performance significantly. Also discounts at the supplement shop right next to Rise Gym! This place has it all, I am so thankful to have found this community & gym! Highly highly recommend Rise Gym! Also pickle ball courts are coming soon!!

This is the first time I’ve ever written a review for a gym but this facility is too good to not give it the recognition it deserves! Rise Gym has a commercial gym side, a powerlifting side, and a strongman side. In the commercial gym, there is an upstairs and a downstairs section. There’s already plenty of treadmills and cardio machines downstairs but there’s even more in the upstairs area as well as a section for kids to play in. Not to mention, there is a supplement store where you can shop for protein, preworkout, vitamins, healthy snakcs, etc. so I thought that was pretty neat!As a powerlifter, Rise Barbell is hands down, the best place to work out. The powerlifting side just opened this summer and I cannot thank the owner Dr. Sean for providing such an amazing facility for me to train at before I competed at Raw Nationals this year. There are plenty of brand new TSS combo racks and barbells as well as new Rogue Kilo/pound plates. There’s also many deadlift platforms as well as one olympic weightlifting section. Aside from that, there is a long strip of turf that separates the powerlifting section from the machines for body builders. Speaking of body builders, there is a posing room so that’s another big plus! Inside this building, there is also a Physical Therapy section run by Dr. Sean.Oh yeah, did I mention there’s AC too? I’ve visited numerous powerlifting gyms in the Houston area but none of them had AC so I appreciate how I’m not drenched in sweat just from walking into a gym.Aside from the amazing facility, the staff and trainers here are incredibly kind. I appreciate how they helped host/run fun events for members to participate in! Overall, the amount of hard work and passion that the owners and workers put into this gym speaks volumes. Honestly, I could go on and on as to why this is the best gym I’ve ever visited but I hope everyone gets to experience working out at Rise Barbell.

Good price, lots of equipment. As a brand new lifter I feel like this was probably the best place for me to start

Clean, always getting better. The barbell part is incredible if you need any kind of strength sport equipment, the main gym has all the rest of the machines and plenty of cardio. Always stop in here when I’m in tomball and if I lived closer this would be my all the time gym!

Perfection in a gym. A great, positive environment welcoming of all fitness levels. Staff, especially Chris, are fantastic. Equipment is top notch.Updating my review to add that the trainers at Rise are outstanding, especially Ozzy and Monique. Really, training with them is the best gift you can give yourself.

Oh man, what can I say about Rise Gym and Rise Barbell that hasn’t been said already. First and foremost, I am their biggest fan.Sean, Amy, and Ricky are doing wonders for our community.I started attending about 8 months postpartum and really found myself again in the year and a half that followed. I regularly train with Ozzy and Monique (I am biased but they are among the best trainers—truthfully you can’t go wrong with anyone at Rise), with Ozzy coaching me to three powerlifting meets with a fourth in the near future. They both pour so much time and effort into the gym and giving back to our little community of lifters that I truly just love telling everyone about them, the owners, the members, the gym, and the deadlift party.Recently, Rise added coach Zach into the mix to teach a 9 am Strongman class for barbell members and it has been among my favorite additions/expansions as the gym has grown. Zach really creates an environment that meets you where your experience level needs, and we’ve all progressed in a short amount of time. We all loved it so much that Zach agreed to take on the additional challenge of directing a novice strongman meet!I have truly made some of the best friends, acquaintances, connections, and gains at this gym and look forward to many more. Here’s the important stuff you’re probably looking for: the main gym has a full mens and womens locker room, plate and pin loaded machines, barbells, squat racks, free weights, many cable machines, all of the cardio equipment you could want, many many classes (with equally great instructors!!) a small turf area and even a kids club.Barbell has many TSS combo racks for powerlifters, the best lighting, many more plate loaded machines (Atlantis and Hammer Strength off the top of my head), TRX equipment, three deadlift platforms, calibrated kilo plates, bumper plates for the weightlifters and crossfitters, and so much strongman equipment. The best part is the Barbell portion is expanding (if you can believe it—to give their members *even more* value) and will be adding saunas, a bigger turf area, more strongman equipment, more Texas Strength System combo racks, more specialty equipment, even more amazing lighting *and* it’s all air-conditioned.If you are looking for a gym in the Tomball/Cypress area and Rise isn’t at the top of your list—you are missing out.

I’ve been a member of this gym for almost a year. The facility is incredible and the staff is very friendly and helpful. They're constantly upgrading and taking requests from members for pieces of equipment. The barbell extension is nice for people who want to get down and train hard, but the regular gym is awesome too.
