they told me they could fix my car’s ac in 5 days. I dropped it off, took off work(which is not easy to do as I am pregnant and work a serving job & can’t just take off several days at a time. they told me to come back the following week & drop it off again for 4 days because turns out the compressor was also bad, so I did. when I came back, my car (with less than 100k miles that drove like a champ) had horrible acceleration and wasn’t shifting correctly. I let them know, and in the meantime had another mechanic take a look at it and test the compressor- turns out the compressor they put in, was used and was faulty/didn’t work. they said they’d need several more days to fiddle with it and see what was wrong, while another mechanic simply tested it and said it wasn’t working & needs replaced. it seemed as though they just wanted more $ out of me.. so I took it to someone who specializes in air conditioning and they were flabbergasted. they said they had overcharged my car’s ac system, there was a freon leak, and they put entirely too much oil in my car, flooding the system. and the compressor they gave me was used and didn’t work. so after spending nearly $1500, wasting my time, and taking so much time off work nearly costing me my job.. I still had no ac, and had to spend another $1200 for someone else to fix their mistakes. I now understand this is JUST an auto body shop, and they might not know too much about air conditioning.. but if that’s the case, communicate that with the customer instead of trying to waste their time & hard earned money. very disappointed.

Took my truck to McCasland Auto Body after getting run into. They did a great job. Phil is very friendly and helpful in the process, keeping you updated and works great with the insurance company. Had no hiccups. I would highly recommend them over anywhere else I’ve ever been. Great local, family owned business 👍🏼

Our Ford C-Max was damaged on the passenger side when some idiot slammed into us on the South Loop in Tyler. Phil at McCasland Auto Body, gave assessment of damage, dealt with insurance, ordered parts and repaired damage. Car looks like new. Both doors work perfectly. They also do restoration of classics. I’ll add photos of a couple.

McCasland Auto Body has been nothing but amazing! If your vehicle needs paint or body work, this is the place to have it done. It’s a family owned business and they have a wonderful team working for them. I would recommend this place over every other body shop in the Tyler area. Thanks for the great work Phil and Tammie!

I could not think of better service than I received at McCasland Auto Body. My old truck was scratched up and needed the tailgate replaced. When I picked it up, it looked like a new truck! Phil McCasland was not pleased with the gaps on either side of my tailgate and asked me to bring it back to make adjustments which his folks did in short order today. If you live anywhere near Arp, Troup, Whitehouse or even Tyler (it's worth the drive) this is the place to bring your vehicle for repair. Great service at a reasonable price.

We took the minivan by their to get a ball park quote on fixing the driver side door handle and we're going to take it back their on Monday morning so they can fix it. They was friendly and honest with us from the start and I like that from a business.
