Was initially very happy with this company, were very helpful, especially working around my schedule. Have since had issues with the shop portion flooding, due to the carport section holding water. Have been trying to get the resolved for a year now. Keep promising to have someone come out. However nobody ever shows.

Purchased building from this company. Everything went well during the order process, fast delivery and install. Then the problems started. My installer was very careless about handling the metal skin for walls and foof. Some screws are installed to tight leaving dents in the metal on walls, careless handling of exterior finish on the metal. Scratches in metal ALL OVER. I asked the install if he had touch up paint for scratches he replied NO. I called the office about the issue ,was told to talk to installer. The building was not completed until way after dark, the installer came and asked if everything looked OK! I told him I couldn't tell for sure because it was DARK. My contract stated balance when job way competed and pay the installer I did. The next morning I inspected the work! What a disappointment. Large scratches everywhere on metal, screws are tightened to tight in places which gives the exterior appearance of the walls showing as to have dents in metal. No one after the installation from the company has called to inquire about anything. I would be very hesitant to refer this company to friends of people just inquiring. I guess I should have known better to pay cash. No service after the sale SPEAKS LOUD AND CLEAR FROM THIS COMPANY.

The entire team at ABS is knowledgeable, experienced and great people to work with. I purchased (4) steel buildings, one of them a barndo from ABS and they took our vision and brought to life. I highly recommend ABS for any of your steel building projects

My pole barn was completed on schedule and on budget. The builders did an excellent job keeping the project on track and keeping me informed as to the progress of the build which is in a different city. I absolutely recommend advanced building systems

We ordered a custom made building for our backyard. The process was easy. The wait was long but Melinda talked to us through it all. She was very open with communication and apologized for stuff she had no control over but still tried to help. I have never met ANYONE that goes that far for a client. The building got put up in a day and it was perfect. The inspector that inspected it said he wish all his sites were like that because it was easy and everything was perfect. I will for sure be using her again and will be recommending my friends to her.

The incompetence and lack of integrity of Melinda Brands and Advanced Building Systems is astounding. Hired her in May of last year to do a few buildings and after a year and barely one shell, it became clear she had no idea what she was doing. The shell she did deliver had trusses without any support beams to secure them. Trim work that never got finished. After I had the dirt and concrete worn inspected it was found to be sinking in several places , without proper footers to provided plan. One was cracked all the way through. The pad was built up over 9 feet and completely dropped 4 feet from the slab, creating a massive need for a retaining wall. Between the retaining wall issue that was created, and the faulty work there was $250k in work needed to be done in order for the project to continue on. She agreed to pay back $50k on a payment plan that I let her come up with. She came up with excuses 4 different times via text on why payments weren’t made. Presenting me with an agreement after those missed payments to make sure I wouldn’t disclose publicly what went down. Then she went ghost. She’s received a formal demand letter, simply for what SHE agreed to and came up with on her on from me without responding. I’ll continue through the courts simply to make sure she doesn’t do this to anyone else.I looked back at our year long text thread, over 30 times she didn’t do what she said she was going to do when she said she was going to do it. I’m the year we were “ working” on this project she only showed up 3-4 times. I honestly don’t even know if she is planning on shutting down or not because since our issue she hasn’t posted a new project when it was being done several times a month. If you’re in East Texas looking for any sort of metal building, I’d start literally anywhere else.
