Blakeney Hardware
The mission was simple: a PVC fitting and a light switch. Nothing fancy, nothing wild.
Walked in and was hit with that familiar scent—wood, metal, maybe a little dust and time. An old guy behind the counter looked up, gave me the kind of nod that says, “You’re in the right place.”
Found both parts easily, no frills, just the quiet hum of a place built on knowledge and simplicity.

Some of the friendliest people in East Texas. Great selection and top-notch service. I highly recommend giving them your business rather than the big box chains like Lowe's or HD.

I’ve been several times and have always had a good experience. They have just about everything and I was told they’d soon have lumber for purchase. Customer service was great! Who I assume is the owner is always knowledgeable on any questions I have and has provided good advice when asked. My 6 year old son always likes coming here with me

No customer service from the owner Was a girl there once who was very helpful, but haven't seen her again. I really want to support local businesses, but I will drive to Home Depot before I set foot in this store again.I k ew that you respond incorrectly and as the victim. I was not mad because you didn't give me a refund. I was upset because you would not get of the phone on a personal call and help me load some potting soil. Hence parking by the potting soil. You told me you didn't have time to help me. There was no one in the store. You could have just said you were sorry, but that goes along with customer service. I was fine with no refund. I just told you to throw it away. I did tell the people at HD about you
