Immoral. Irrational. I bought a motorcycle without noting it had a lien on the title. I first went to the Quitman branch, where the lien was made. They said that not a penny was owed, but they would not release it. I'd brought the title that was signed by the old owner (who'd taken out the lein), the inspection documentation (that I'd just had done), my insurance forms (having already taken out insurance), as well as pictures of it (that included the VIN). I had far more proof of ownership and possession than even the government would care to see. I was refused and went to the Tyler branch, hoping that someone whom was rational and moral would be present. I explained, after being refused, at the Tyler branch, that they had filed a lein on condition that they would remove it, once paid, so were violating the contract. They said that they would only release the lein for the original owner who took out the lein. I pointed out that I am obviously the owner, the lein was long ago paid in full, and that they obviously still had not released the lein. They were violating their contract with the original owner and violating me. I believe that this should be considered grand theft auto, on their part, of course. . . With their immoral, irrational, and illegal lein, I could not register the vehicle, so could not drive the vehicle - which would make the vehicle worthless, stealing quite a bit of my time and money. I used the terms irrational, immoral, breach of contract, and FTC. They then wandered off and supposedly found the old owner, as well as verifying his identity, by phone, in under five minutes - which I somehow doubt. They signed the title and I had it at the DMV within half an hour, thankfully. The four hours of tediousness, as I drove around and tried to civilly convince them, is shameful! They considered me immoral and irrational for trying to get them to do the obviously moral and rational! They abide no common sense, are amoral, are lazy, and tend not to understand the English language - which may explain why their word is no good. No one should ever trust these self-righteous, passive-agressive children with a dime.
