The positives: clean room, friendly staff, and good sleep. The negatives: outdated room, so very limited plug options and the one closest to the bed was broken so the prongs wouldn't stay in without shoving the nightstand against the outlet to hold it in place, the shower handle was installed wrong and was opposite what was shown so I took a very cold shower until I figured that out, water pressure was weak, and they would only allow us 2 towels at a time (we had to trade ours back in to get fresh ones). For two girls with long hair, that made drying off after showering a wet hassle.Overall, if all you need is a place to sleep, it gets the job done. Had the shower worked better and we had been allowed 4 towels, then my review would be much higher. I was not expecting fancy and just needed a place to sleep while visiting family in the area, but those items mentioned above are bare minimum conveniences these days even for economical lodging options. For example, I stayed at a Days Inn in Waco last month. It was the same layout, but updated with modern outlets including USBs, they handed over extra towels with no questions and the shower worked well. This one in Tyler just hasn't seen an update in a while.

NEVER AGAIN!!! Told us when we got there (not on the phone four days prior to arriving there) that there was a $100 deposit that was supposed to be refunded after a quick inspection at checkout. They inspected our room and said there was a wet spot on the bed and it was from where a glass of water got spilled. We didn’t get our damn deposit back just for that small little spill! WILL NOT GO BACK AT ALL! That $100 could’ve went to driving back home the THREE HOUR drive it took to get there. LIARS!!

They charged another customer $10 for using a towel and getting mascara on it. I felt bad for the concierge who had to deal with multiple complaints and a lack of support from her manager. It was so dirty, I could hear the neighboring guests through all hours of the night, the bathroom vent was broken, and the breakfast was cereal. I paid for 3 nights and chose to take my family somewhere else for the last night. We couldn't take it. The room smelled and was damp.

I'd like to share my experience at the Days inn in Tyler Texas. This hotel is not clean nor are they honest. I have NEVER gave a bad review to any hotel I have stayed in. This hotel is just one that I would recommend stay away from. Honestly, I would rather sleep in my car then deal with this Day in. By no means should this reflect any other days in but this one I'm referring to in Tyler Texas. Thank youNoteworthy details: It's not worth spending your money on

If I could give this experience less than 1 star I would. The customer service is the worst I've ever experienced and I honestly was expecting it to be bad. They also charged my card (without my knowledge) $400 over what they said they would. Wyndham is trying for a resolution, or so they claim, but the front desk won't help in any way. My bank is now locked for fraud and they have tried charging another $200 since its been locked. Beware!

Just popping on here to say I do not recommend this hotel. We didn't expect the Taj Mahal for under $100 a night, but it wasn't worth the discount price with how many less than ideal things we ran into. The free breakfast is super minimal-stale muffins, some oatmeal and bad coffee. The hotel seems to have cut corners in a lot of places. For example, we're staying here for four days with 3-4 people and every time we've asked for more toilet paper they only gave one roll. Kind of random, but the orange juice dispenser seems to be mixing the OJ with water? Fan didn't work in the bathroom, room smelled musty, etc. All of that would be par for the course for a cheaper nightly rate it it weren't for the terrible service we got late at night. The staff has been super kind with one notable exception. I'm passing his name along to management but the employee at night was really unhelpful when I spilled on the blanket on my bed. I went to the front desk to ask for a new one and the guy was doodling/writing when I came in. He said he could offer me towels but not a blanket. I said the blanket was not usable for the night and I really needed a new one. He kept repeating he could get me towels but no blanket. Eventually he answered my "why" with: "Well the closet is all the way down there," he pointed down the hall, "and I'd have to find the key...." He pointed at a drawer. I asked him cant he just try to find the key please? Then he said, "My shift is over in ten minutes, maybe the next staff member can help you." It was like I was in a sitcom with someone exaggeratedly playing "Unhelpful Lazy Hotel Desk Guy." I said I'd wait for the next employee, but then a man, Randall, got back from another task and offered to help and I got my blanket in a couple minutes. There was a couple waiting on service behind me and they said they'd had similar experiences their whole stay as well, and wouldn't be staying here again. I hate to bash people but want folks to know what to expect here so you can book a different place when visiting Tyler!

Pretty good spot 6 miles from my mom's hospital. I appreciate the friendly young man working nights, checking everyone in. The rooms are Good and Clean.Tje beds are Great! I wish weekday breakfast was a bit more than 3 pieces of bread for toast, one small orange, cereal and oatmeal.. not exactly what the big sign outside advertised but the rooms were nice and comfortable. I believe that's what counts most when you are in a new town in a bad situation... ?

Do not recommend! My 3 boys and I stayed here because I am a Wyndham reward member and it was in a convenient spot. I was not aware of the $100 deposit until I got there to check in. Make sure you pay deposit in cash because it will take a week to deposit back into your account. The lady was a bit snappy and seemed to have a bit of an attitude. They make you sign a waiver that states you won’t be involved in any illegal activity. There were also police on site so I just assumed there may have been a history of drug dealing and sex trafficking. The indoor pool was foggy and there were no towels in site. They didn’t even have any extras at the front desk. When I go into the room I witnessed dead spiders beside the bed. There were only 2 small thin dry off towels and 2 face towels. Mind you it’s me and 3 children. Again no extra towels at the front desk. The furniture in the room was pretty beat up. Their “continental breakfast” just consists of a bunch of bread, cereal coffee, juice and tea. If you’re just looking for a place to lay your head it might be the place for you because the beds were comfy but not if you’re looking for any kind of hospitality. I understand it’s a Days Inn but with everything they require you’d think it’s a Ritz Carlton lol

I recently needed lodging close to the UT Tyler Hospital, and I chose this motel. The staff was super friendly, and the rooms were spacious, comfortable, and impeccably clean. Plus, the AC was amazingly cold, and I slept like a baby. The breakfast was less than average, but I didn't care since the room was so affordable, and this motel was so close to everything I required. I highly recommend this property.

What a joke. I booked the hotel 12 hours and 900 miles out. They are part of the Wyndham program of which i am a member. When i get there to check in at 2AM they insist i pay a $100 deposit (more than the room!)… yet there was zero mention of it when i reserved my room. Just a printed piece of paper at the service desk taped to the plastic barrier. They didn’t tell me until AFTER i was charged for the room. I was furious and wanted a refund… and nope they said there was no help at that time. After 30 mins on the phone with a Wyndham rep i got the charge removed and went and stayed at the much better nearby Holiday Inn for only $30 more.

The property was a bit confusing and the hotel clerk did not make it easier for us and the elderly person with me. But she did recommend a good place to eat and did not kick out my kids from the pool!

Since it's over 100 outside, 9:00 at night, and it can take hours to cool a room down, I asked desk agent if the ac unit would be on and running when I got in my room so I wouldnt have to wait. He couldnt understand me..

Room floor was dirty needed to be swept. Bed was made but looked as if someone had slept in the bed. Continental Breakfast consists of cereal, juice, coffee or a muffin. No eggs, sausage, bacon, hashbrowns or sausage gravy and biscuits. Any of these items would be an improvement.Staff was stand offish, and rude.

Check in was easy and quick. I asked some questions which were answered concisely. The room was clean and cool (nice since it is very humid here). Only problem I had was the light above the sink kept flickering and never actually just stayed on. And I should have checked the map more thoroughly when I booked as it is about 10 miles off the route I was on. But that is on me.Food & drinks: Lots of nearby restaurants including a local taco shop just across the street and down a few hundred feet.
