Edge performance is a top notch facility, with fantastic trainers, and a welcoming atmosphere. I’ve always strived to be physically fit but am not the kind of person that can walk into a gym and create a quality workout on my own. My goal walking into edge performance was to get strong. JP’s programs have not only helped me achieve strength, but helped me achieve confidence in the gym. The trainers at edge performance recognize that there is no one size fits all training program. They tailer their programs to each person and their individual goals and physical abilities. The programs push you while still being very doable. I seriously couldn’t recommend Edge Performance enough. It is THE gym to go to in Tyler.

Coming from a commercial gym, having to wait because it was too crowded. this gym is what I was looking for. Its a private location. From the top of the line equipment to the experts. It really offers a lot. If you are serious about achieving your goals. This is the place to go!

Out of ALL the gyms in Tyler, this one is genuinely top tier. Dare I even call it a gym; it’s a stellar facility. The trainers are extremely knowledgeable and inviting, there are multiple massage therapists in house, and they have nothing but high quality equipment. The space is open so it’s not jammed packed with people or equipment that just takes up space.The location is perfect without heavy thru traffic, and is climate controlled so you’re not soaking in sweat during the summer or freezing cold in the winter. Also there are bay doors that you can still enjoy the breeze and get a little vitamin D on a beautiful day! The best part of my days are being here and training. I couldn’t recommend Edge Performance enough!

Jessica, Ronnie, and Faith are all superb trainers. The workouts are strenuous, yet doable for the average person. Love going to Edge. Also, Ronnie’s Instagram posts are great for Knowledge on workouts, nutrition, motivation tips, and much more. Great resource and great people. ??

I’ve been going to Edge since September 2022, the results I’ve seen in less then a year are wild. I feel so much stronger and have cleaned up my eating habits! I love that it’s not crowded and all the trainers are extremely kind and motivating you to reach whatever your goal might be. I even convinced my parents to start working with Faith as well!

TL-DR: quality clean equipment, with the best coaching in TexasWhen I first walked into Edge performance, I immediately knew that this place was quality, simply by the equipment they had. It is better equipped than any Crossfit/weightlifting gym in the East Texas area. They are equipped for anyone wanting to get in shape, any piece of Strongman equipment one could need, as well as tons of specialized equipment to work around injuries or build up weaknesses. Tons of bars and Westside machines as well (belt squat, reverse hypers, monolift). The gym is also incredibly clean. I bring my daughter there at times and am not fearful of her leaving dirty.As far as the coaching, each coach brings there own special style to the table. Anyone can get a simple certificate from a two day course and be a coach, but these coaches are backed by years of experience. The coaches also practice what they preach, as they all have competed at some of the highest levels of competition. I will speak on the coaches there I have had the most experience with.Faith: I have never met someone with more energy. She always greets everyone with a hello and a smile. Faith is incredibly encouraging and is also patient with the clients. Faith has done multiple Crossfit competitions, and still continues to train doing some insane lifts (does muscle ups but also deadlifts 300 for reps). Lastly, Faith is the sort of coach who can push you, but not to the point where you don't want to come back. You feel like you did work, but you always want to come back for more.Ronnie: Ronnie is a hungry, passionate coach, who primarily focused on MMA and High School Athletic training. Ronnie is one that I have known since he was in High school, and is constantly doing research to better himself and his athletes. Ronnie has competed in multiple kick boxing fights, and has coached multiple high school kids that have gone on to play at the next level. He has coached at EP for years and is a staple in their line of coaches.JP: I had seen JP on Youtube, has he was one of the lifters from WestSide Barbell. Later I learned that JP has trained and competed at some of the greatest gyms in the world, but EliteFTS under Dave Tate, WestSide Barbell under Louie Simmons, and trained under Swede Burns (look these people up, as they are some of the biggest names in powerlifting). JP also has squatted over a 1000 lbs, and has held multiple records in powerlifting, and has been the best overall lifter (the one who lifts the most weight in a meet), multiple times in competition. The first time I ever saw him in Tyler, he was pulling 600 lbs on deadlift for a warmup. I went to EP to train with Ronnie one day (we want to catch up after a bit), and he introduced me to JP. I asked JP if he would train me, and he told me when to show up. I immediately was a very small fish in a big pond, as the group I was training with might be the strongest group in Texas (East Texas Barbell Club). Immediately, I was given advice on how to better my lifts, and I began to learn what training hard actually looked like. I was one of the weakest in the group, but JP just said "just do two things, show up and do the work". JP was able to help me get ready for my first powerlifting meet, and I was able to break a league record for deadlift, because of the knowledge and experience he brought to the table. JP has since created more groups for specialized training, to include law enforcement, military, and first responder training. He owns multiple businesses, and is a highly motivated go-getter. The gym is his passion, and it shows by the athletes he trains and in his personal lifting. I have personally seen him squat over 900 lbs and bench over 5 plates for speed. He knows exactly what each lifter needs, and if you are willing to put in the work consistently, he will invest into you.While I have not used it personally, the gym also offers licensed massage therapists to help you recover, and have a room solely dedicated to recovery after a hard training session.This is the best gym in Texas.
