Melissa has been the worst experience I have had in years of haircuts, from her unprofessionalism and unwillingness to understand to her lack of hesitation. I had shown an image and was clear on how I wanted layers. First, she hadn’t checked if my part was even, which even the most amateur hair stylist knows to do. Second, she cut my long, thick hair that had taken years to grow without asking and completely ignored what I wanted. When it was clear this was not what I had asked for and I was upset, she barely responded and showed no remorse. Melissa has cut my mother’s hair in the past as well, and she had cut off hair that had taken years to grow without hesitation or even trying to understand what she wanted, but we only realized it was her afterward. I will make sure to let my friends and family know as well. This has been such a bad experience that I have never written an online review before, but now, I feel like I really need to share my expierence.

I came in for a haircut today around 5:00 p.m. after checking online. It was a bit busy, and there were several people ahead of me in line. A shorter woman with blonde hair approached to check me in. Without much courtesy, she told me with an attitude and a passive-aggressive smile, “There’s a long wait, sorry.”
I didn’t respond—I just walked out to go to another place. As I got to my car, I noticed she left her customer to look at me through the window before returning to what she was doing.
I’ve worked in busy environments before, but I’ve never gone out of my way to treat a customer like that. This location has been my go-to because they usually give good haircuts and I always tip. But after this interaction, I’m honestly hesitant to return.

Really disappointed this location had a much valued hair stylist like April leave. She had been doing my hair for a long time and was the best one in Tyler. I would love to know where April is doing hair now but the employees here refused to tell me. I hope I can find out where you're at now April! You're the best!
