We were running a little behind getting there for my reservation due to weather etc, I tried to call to inform them and the local number just went to a recording saying that the number was invalid. Tried calling Hertz corporate, go through the ridiculous prerecorded prompts just to get transferred to the same out of order number. Tried calling Priceline, sent to the same out of service number. Finally got through to a human on the Hertz corporate line, he says he's adjusted my arrival time for me. Get to Hertz, and get greeted with the absolute worst customer service I have ever received. The man that works the desks acts as if you are bothering him to do his job. He said I was late, I told him I tried to call and the phone line won't work, but that I called corporate and they said they adjusted my arrival time. He said he doesn't know what to tell me about the phone line, he just works there, and that he didn't care what corporate said, he won't have a car ready for at least 2 hours. He was so extremely rude and bothered by my business that I told him to cancel the reservation. This is the second interaction I've had with him at this location (the other was back in September) and both times he acts like the customer is inconveniencing him. I will never do business here again.

If I could give this place a zero star I would. I had a family emergency that I needed to fly into town for. I walked up to the desk and immediately received an attitude from the worker. I gave him my information and he stated you just booked this an hour ago and I explained I was here for a family emergency so I didn't have a lot of time to plan. He then proceeded to say well good luck and walked away. I thought he left because he put up the closed sign as well as shut the lights off. So I proceeded outside to catch an uber. He then yells at me from across the parking lot stating they were getting me a car and why I didn't listen. I explained that is not how this happened you just walked away and didn't say anything. I would NEVER recommend anyone going to this Hertz for a car!!! Extremely rude and unprofessional.

Poor service the hours for Sunday was until 6 pm. We were at the airport by 4:50 pm and no one was at the desk. We called the number and the phone was ringing behind the door. There was a cell phone left on the desk and a bag. Whoever was working was not doing there job right. We had to spend 10 to 30 minutes and one of the airport employee asked us to drop off the key at the express key return and it was missing envelopes.

Rented online to pick up at Tyler Pounds Airport. Requested a "standard SUV" (Chevy equinox or similar) get there approx 40 min before they open at 10am. Go in 4 min til. No one arrived until 10:30 to check multiple people out.He says we have a Hyundai Sonata for you (it was a Hyundai Tucson) which is classified as a COMPACT SUV. No way 5 people could comfortably ride in that car through four states. No floor room in the backseat unless the front person's knees are in the dash.We bring it back and I tell the guy that I would like a credit for the difference in the size of the car. He says that the compact is their standard. I said NO, NOT according to the website. I pointed to the equinox we were beside and the pointed and the little thing we were given. He agreed that they were not similar. We get inside....he can't help me and tells me I will have to call billing....I call billing go through 4 people (over and hour on the phone). The fourth lady says she can't credit me because I haven't been charged. She offered a voucher but that means I'm going to have to go through the same headache with Hertz again. Geez, get it together, make it right!!! I only ask to be charged according to the vehicle given (çompact) !! I'm NOT asking for anything free!!!! Just not to be intentionally overcharged!Honor your pricing, make things right!

well, It was slow when we arrived and no one was at the counter. After just a bit the fellow from the neighboring counter, spoke with us and they did not have what we needed. So, we left like we came. However the place was very clean, orderly and quiet, for an Airport.

Alex was extremely helpful when I needed are car. Had to edit the pick up time, but instead it added a 2nd rental. Alex called to verify the info. I deleted it then when I went in to pick it up, he made the whole transaction smooth and fast.Thanks, Alex!!

Did an online reservation when to the Hertz and guy told me he didn’t have a car for me that I had to go to Tyler pounds to pick one up. I went to Tyler pounds waited for about 10 minutes for an attendant. Called number on the desk several times nobody answered, then he finally shows up and is in a Craby mood. Ask we are getting my rental ready he apologizes and said he would have driven my rental to other location and he also said he was on a personal phone call and didn’t mean to take anything out on me.I drive to my distination and proceed to drop of my rental car. Before getting to my location my vehicle stalls and I assume I ran out of gas 3 miles from my drop off location. I call the Hertz where I’m supposed to drop off car to let them know my situation and representative tells me to call Roadside for hertz. I call I get told someone will come out to me . I spoke with agent and 2 other road side people and I was never told 1) a price for service 2) never asked if it was Ok or if I Authorize Hertz to charge my car on file. I drop off my car agent was busy and said I didn’t have to wait if I was just dropping off car. I get home and a couple days later I get a charge on my card for $100 more. I call and try to get an explanation and nobody was able to get me a concrete answer. In the end they said any disputes would have to be handled with Tyler location since they had my card and they were the ones charging my account. Till this day almost 3 weeks later I have yet to hear from someone from Hertz. I travel a lot and based on this last experience I don’t have any interest or intentions or renting from Hertz again.

Robert was extremely helpful and informative! He made sure we had everything we needed as far as insurance and gas add ons to make our road trip go smoothly. He made sure our rental experience was successful and it was a pleasure working with Robert at Hertz (Tyler regional airport)

Simple, I called on a Friday, 11am to make an inquiry, I went through thier phone menu system choosing to speak with a representative. I got an automated response "The person you are trying to reach has not yet set up a voice mail, goodbye."So goodbye to my business!

Alex really came through for us! We needed a car & I showed up at the wrong location. Let me just say Hertz is the best!. He got us a bigger car at the same price in less than 10 minutes. If you need to rent a car in Tyler, Hertz is the place. He even walked me to the car with an umbrella & helped us load our suitcases!
