My wife and I loved this place! We just got our tree there and everyone was so nice and helpful. We had a spot we use to go to get our trees but it closed. Looks like we have found a new place and a new tradition! Even just coming and walking around you will be enchanted like we were.

Hands down the best nursery in the area. Very large selection of healthy plants at a great price, and the customer service is above and beyond.

Hughes Plant Farm is no longer family owned. It has been sold to a company from California. The quality of plants and the selection is good, but much more expensive than formerly. Staff is friendly and the grounds go a facelift. Many things are still less expensive that other nurseries, but if you're purchasing a large quantity it would be good to shop around.

I love Hughes Plant Farm.I go to several nurseries around Tyler, including the Blue Moon the respecttable and lovely Breedloves and there's several others that I actually like and yes I even visit Lowe's,very rarely Home Depot, I don't know why, they just seem to know nothing about their plants at all .... don't evenLowe's at least the cashiers that work there are extremely personable and I love seeing them as far as a lot of information it's hard to get anyone to give you any answersthat's the con to it.the pro is the cashiers are great and they know us by nameand they're Pleasant and fun and all of that.but I have to tell you ...The prices have gone up just a bit but also the quality has just gone through the roof ,as far as selection ,and health of plants and also information about the plants that you buy, these people know their stuff and they have plenty of staff to help .AND answer your questions when you go there.probably the best In that REGARD.they are extremely helpful extremely Pleasantalways there and always knowledgeable....that I can saymeans a lot most especially because I'm not from Texas so I'm trying to learn what to plant and what not to plant and whyand they usually can give me an answer.

I have looked everywhere for Passion Vines and finally found some at Hughes. Very nice and healthy plants. I have hip problems and can't walk very well. The lady helping me with the plants sat me down, brought me a bottle of cold water, brought plants to me. Checked me out and carried my plants to my car. I just couldn't thank her enough for being so kind and accommodating to me.

Best selection with best prices and knowledgeable staff. I've been buying plants here during all seasons with great success growing them. I use their soil which is very inexpensive, plants thrive. It's a beautiful place!

They have loads of plants available through the season! Many at good prices though some seem higher than I've found elsewhere. They did have Lenten's Rose which no other Tyler nursery had. I was excited about that! Most of the people I interacted with were helpful and kind, only one interaction I had felt rushed and not prioritized. But the nursery itself was lovely and I'll be back for some well-priced ground cover plants next year!

First time here since new owners. Was really disappointed with the prices. We have been shopping here for years and was thankful for the selection and prices. We purchased a couple of things but would have bought more at the old prices.
