Decent store. Plumbing is difficult to navigate and there's never enough staff to help. Otherwise they always have what I need.

Prior to moving to Tyler, I used to prefer Lowes. However, I’ve had several negative experiences at the Tyler location and the store always seems to be a mess, from the parking lot (where the cart corrals are always overflowing) to the in-store products.

i buy a lot of shelving materials from Lowe's. i went to the other guy first for the sake of convenience and a cheap plastic storage bin. They didn't even seem to sell the brackets that i usually buy for standard utility room shelves, and they only had a few white shelves. An adequate amount of shelves, just not many white ones. So i went ahead and bought one, and then headed to Lowe's to get the brackets. If i had waited and bought the shelf at Lowe's, it would have cost me a bit less. The other guy did have the cheap storage bin in stock, though.

We went to Tyler to pick up a large order of wood at this Lowes. The staff we encountered were friendly, on point, knowledgeable, and very helpful.

Jeremy, in appliances, was PATIENT, kind, helpful and informative. After 20 minutes looking at appliances, he was the only associate to stop and ask if we needed help (multiple other associates walked by but never asked). He was professional, knowledgable regarding plans and available services with our appliances. HIGHLY recommend lowes for your appliances and ask for Jeremy!! Grateful for the savings he helped us achieve on all our appliance. Thank you, Jeremy!!!

As many of us well know, DIY home improvement mega stores are a cash vortex. It's impossible to enter one of these stores without feeling like you need a second mortgage to pay off what you just spent. Especially if you are a homeowner, at any given time, there is probably $10-$20,000 worth of merchandise in a Home Depot or Lowe's that you absolutely need.
The Lowe's on South Broadway in Tyler Texas certainly knows how to maximize the pressure of that vortex. Their selection is so comprehensive that, as I enter the doors, it is as if I have strayed onto the event horizon of a black hole that sucks my money into infinity and beyond.
This, of course, is fantastic for the shareholders of the company, and while I shutter to think what my checking account balance might be after a visit here, I can say that the product selection and customer service is fantastic.
In particular, this location
has a phenomenal selection of garden, outdoor, and patio products. From its wide selection of flora to an even wider array of tools and accoutrements for enhancing your garden and outdoor experience, I don't think there's any other store in the area that comes close.
I typically have very positive customer service experiences here. I highly recommend this location.

My elderly parents—both in their 70s—scrimped and saved for months to afford a new stove from Lowe’s. They don’t have a lot, and every dollar they spent was carefully set aside with the hope of finally replacing their old, unreliable appliance. This stove wasn’t just a purchase—it was a long-awaited improvement to their daily lives and a rare moment of joy after so many sacrifices.
But that joy was short-lived.
Less than a month after installation, the stove completely stopped working. No heat, no functionality—just a cold, useless appliance sitting in the center of their kitchen. My dad, who is proud and never asks for help unless absolutely necessary, has called and reached out to Lowe’s multiple times—each time hoping for some kind of support, some kind of compassion, or at the very least, a technician to come take a look. But those calls were met with indifference, long hold times, and empty promises. No one has come. No one has fixed anything. And no one seems to care.
So here they are—months later—without a working stove, struggling to prepare meals, and feeling utterly defeated. They only got a few weeks of use from an appliance that cost them hundreds of dollars. For many people, that might be an inconvenience. For them, it’s a crisis.
This has caused so much stress and frustration, not to mention the emotional toll of feeling unheard and unseen. They trusted Lowe’s. They believed they were buying from a reputable company that would stand by its products and help when something went wrong.
Instead, they’ve been ignored. Forgotten.
It breaks my heart to watch them go through this. I’m sharing this in hopes that someone at Lowe’s will see what this experience has done to two good people who deserved better—and finally do the right thing.
