I just want to say how incredibly impressed and thankful I am for the summer camp ( Mentoring Alliance at 3 LAKES) my son attended this year. From start to finish, it was such a positive and uplifting experience! The energy, organization, and passion from the staff was truly unmatched. Every day my son came home with a smile on his face, full of stories and excitement from all the fun and learning he had.
What stood out the most to me was the group of kids attending the camp. They were kind, respectful, welcoming, and full of team spirit. It was beautiful to see such a great group of young people supporting each other and making sure everyone felt included. My son made new friends, grew more confident, and built memories that I know will stick with him for a lifetime.
Thank you to the counselors, staff, and every camper who made this summer one to remember. You all are truly something special! We can’t wait to come back next year! 💛🌞

If I could give this place less than a star, I would. My 3 boys went there and 1 has ADHD which they were aware of. I was called constantly about his behavior and when myself and his behavioral therapist tried to give them advice on how to help, it fell on deaf ears. This place claims to be Christian based yet fall short of showing any for a child with a different thought process than others. If the camp did not have anyone with the knowledge of how to handle someone with differences, then they shouldn’t advertise it for all. He was even suspended which is ridiculous, suspending a 7 year old. At the end, it almost felt as if they were simply picking of him and just didn’t want to deal with his so I got an email from Cameron Thompson stating that I would have to go pick him up if he showed any bit of defiance. I would not recommend this place to anyone and if I could get my money back, I would gladly appreciate it but I know I will not. This faith based camp is a joke.

While this is an amazing attempt to combine mentorship and Christian based education, I don’t understand how this service is not offered in every school . With a specification to provide need based services in elementary schools, they have provided the program in every elementary school in the area except one which is in a “low income” neighborhood that is predominantly African American. For that I am giving it 1 star, it seems like something that needs to be addressed, especially since the person answering the phone does not know why they don’t offer the service in that one specific school.

Thank you Mentoring Alliance for surrounding my son with Mr. Luke, Mr. Malik, Ms. Charlie, Ms. Rebeca, Ms. Jaz, Mr. Tucker, Ms. Rebecca, Ms. Chelsea, and Mr. Kyryn. This team has helped my son with social-emotional strategies, character building, and prayer.

Giving them 3 stars. I think they could do much better in different areas. I think they really need to pay close attention to who they hire. I've had issues with workers just flat out forwarding or ignoring my calls when I call to pick my child up. Long waits I'm talking 45 minutes for them to bring my kids out. This is even after the school broadcast on speaker that there was a long line of parents waiting for their kids from BGC. That caused me to miss long awaited doctors appointments and such. Unfortunately I have to have my kids in this program because of my job. Not everyone who works in this program is bad but the people taking care of my kids have been dismissive to me when it comes to over the phone interactions. I don't care to report on this any longer so I'm leaving it in this review.

I absolutely love the Mentoring Alliance. My family has been involved for a few years. From after school care to summer camp, I have no worries at all when my kids are there. Highly recommend to anyone looking for after school care. The staff is amazing.

I am giving the mentoring alliance a 1star rating because they are so hard to work with. They send tons of emails and voicemails about payments and mention giving them a call to help. Well when you call they just threaten to unenroll your child by Wednesday at noon. I’ve explained many times that my pay period differs and I try to get the payment to them 3 days earlier than I’m paid so my student won’t be unenrolled. They aren’t helpful and don’t work with you. You have to pay the re-enrollment fee plus the bi weekly rate. The only solution they gave was to pay 2 payments in advance… How are you going to offer scholarships for low income families and not work with them?
