What sets Northern Tool apart is the combination of a massive, unique inventory and a staff that actually wants to help you. I was setting up a new generator and had a few questions about the compatible transfer switch. The employee I spoke with was patient, incredibly knowledgeable, and walked me through the entire process without making me feel rushed. You just don't get that level of service anywhere else. From power tools to trailers to air compressors, if they don't have it, you probably don't need it. Highly recommend the Tyler location!

Bought a stihl ms 170 brand new from here, didn't even try starting it for about 4 months. Then it wouldn't start and omg at the hell this store gave me about getting it fixed. Ended up taking a total of 3 weeks but I finally got it fixed.

Not a very friendly store. They seemed overwhelmed and not able to help everyone shopping that day. Also, they don't keep advertised items in stock even on the first day of the promotions.

Amazing folks and selection! We got stranded on the side of the road Friday night after our tt breaks caught fire. After going to 8 different places in town Saturday morning (RV, trailer, and auto parts) we went to Northern Tool. They had everything we needed to get us on the road back to Idaho. The employee that helped us was so knowledgeable and nice. He helped us with sizes and we were able to leave with all the things we needed. Thank you so much! You guys are Lifesavers!
