Dr. Twomey had the compassion to believe in my fur baby and continue treating him, seeing that he has a good quality of life even though he is paralyzed from his rear legs. He never judged my decision and immediately took action to care for him 4 years ago…and still remembers him to this day. ? Dr. Twomey is incredibly kind, and I don’t see myself ever changing vets.

Additionally, the Dr and the staff are amazingly friendly. He has saved a number of cats and dogs, some of which roam around the office. A great experience, and my dog's teeth are pearly white.

I was afraid to try and find a new vet here for my cats since I’ve just moved to Tyler and wanted to make sure I picked out someone who understood cats well. I’m so glad I picked Dr. Embry because he not only helped me with my concerns, but also offered advice on bettering my own at home care for my cats! Not only did he provide me with advice, but he did not pressure me when it came to any testing or care on their end like most vets (in my experience) tend to do.
I will DEFINITELY be returning for both of my cats! 10/10 experience!

3101 Shiloh Rd #131, TylerThis is the best locally owned pizza restaurant in the city. Where do I even begin? There's so much positive to say about this pizza restaurant. Let's start with the owner. She is amazing and makes the most delicious pizzas. Very rarely. Not only is it rare to have a female-owned business but to have a black female owned business in East Texas? It's almost impossible to find. The pizzas as you can see for my photos. They are loaded from end to end with toppings. One thing I hate about a pizza is when a restaurant skimps on toppings. You will never have to worry about topps Pizza skimping out on toppings. It doesn't matter what you order the meat lovers, pepperoni, the cheeseburger pizza, the chicken. Alfredo, they will all be loaded with the perfect amount of toppings, sauce and cheese. The pizzas will be baked perfectly. My absolute favorite is that they allow you to do half and half pizzas. That's perfect for somebody like me who loves to try different pizzas but doesn't want to commit to a whole pizza just in case I don't like it. It's also perfect for families with picky kids because they can each choose the pizza they want. There's no extra cost to order a half and half pizza and that is really unheard of nowadays. Most restaurants want to nickel and you to death but not here. Topps Pizza is definitely a hidden gem in town and I highly recommend them. Some people complain about the price but compared to national chain restaurant the price is just fine for the quality of food you're getting.

The made the Kiepersol experience epic.

Burgers are fresh homemade not frozen patties and juicy.
Prices are affordable and cost around the same price for a burger fries and drink at whataburger except whataburger are frozen patties.
Service was excellent as well. I will definitely return when I'm in Tyler,Tx.

We got an almond croissant, a strawberry & cheese croissant, and a cappuccino with Lavender. It was all so good! As we sat and finished our food we watched as customers came in again and again to grab their favorites. It was cinnamon roll day and all we kept hearing was how good they were. It was early and they were already almost out. Intrigued by their popularity we decided to also get one. OH MY GOSH!!! I’m so glad we did!! That was the best cinnamon roll I’ve ever had! And now I just get to crave them until someday when we’re traveling back through Tyler. Hopefully it’s on cinnamon roll day! ??

I went there today and Kristi served us. She was engaging and fun, helpful to understand the menu since it was our first time there and checked on us often.
The teamwork between the staff is outstanding!
I had the 3-grilled pork chops, with green beans, okra and I added a loaded side salad with homemade blue cheese dressing. Total yum!!!!
My husband ordered the catfish dinner and said it was one of the best catfish that he has ever had.
We also ordered the fried green tomatoes that came with homemade ranch dressing.
They have complimentary beans (either pinto or chili beans) and Blue Bell ice cream. We tried both types of beans, but we both agreed that the chili beans were our favorite.
The ice cream is hand scooped and not a stingy portion, it was nice size scoops.
The only thing that was a minor negative was the drink options, I prefer Coke or Mountain Dew, but the waitress recommended the RC Cola and that is what I had. It wasn’t bad and was okay with the selection. Hubby had Orange Crush. When we were leaving I asked if I could get a sweet tea to go so I could try it as well. It was a good southern sweet, but not sweet enough to give you cavities which I’m sure is preferred by most. Personally, I like the more sweeter version of cavity inducing sweet tea, but it was still yummy.
There are so many great menu options that you could easily go several times a week and have an amazing variety.
This is my new comfort food favorite in town and will be coming back time and time again!! I cannot believe we’ve only lived in Tyler 3-weeks and I’ve already found a true favorite place to eat!!!

Be mindful they do close midday between lunch and dinner and in peak seasons or weekends you may need a reservation. I like their lamb too! The Humane Society's Pets Fur People
1823 County Rd 386, TylerI had a very emotional and difficult situation involving my dog recently, and I truly appreciate the kindness, patience, and professionalism the staff showed me during the entire process. Even while I was upset and overwhelmed, they treated me with compassion, listened to my side, and never made me feel judged.
The director and staff took the time to speak with me, explain everything, and work with me regarding the situation and vet fees so that I could bring my dog back home. Their understanding and willingness to help meant more to me than words can explain.
You can tell this shelter genuinely cares about both the animals and the people involved. I’m very grateful for the way they handled everything and for giving me the opportunity to make things right. Thank you again to Kat and the entire staff for your kindness and compassion.

SPCA of East Texas Adoption Center
3245 W Grande Blvd, TylerGreat people/staff, great facility, affordable pricing. Policies and Procedures should really be revised, as in:
No appointments in the summer after 12pm or so due to the fact that you have to wait in line in your car, and sometimes people have a car that will overheat or their a/c doesn't work (which you would think would be pointless because you have an appointment with a time they give you).
How about letting some come inside with their pet that can have access to water?
Also, letting people come in to pay instead of waiting on a member of the staff to come out?
All told, we were in our car for an hour before we could get going again. Absolutely horrible wait time for being outside in a heat index of 104.
