I took my wedding dress here to be cleaned after my wedding. This is the EXACT same place that my bridal shop, Brooke & Bre Bridal, used to clean the dress before I had alterations done. I gave specific instructions to Clarissa, the lady at the front desk that I am the person to be called when the dress is ready to be picked up. Clarissa verbalized understanding. Brooke & Bre Bridal called me 3 weeks after I had dropped my dress off at the cleaners to say that they have my wedding dress and I owe them $200 because they paid for the cleaning. So Progress Cleaners just gave my wedding dress to my bridal shop without even checking to see if they were the appropriate person to be picking up the dress. When I get to the bridal shop to get my dress, the straps on my dress are completely destroyed. I had delicate, beaded straps that were intact when I dropped the dress off. I then brought the dress back over to Progress Cleaners to further investigate the issue. The manager told me she did not ruin my dress, and that I ruined it when I wore it on my wedding day. The manager said that I am just “SOL about my $1700 wedding dress being ruined.” I asked for my beads so that I could potentially take the the dress to get fixed and the manager stated she did not have them, they must’ve got lost when she cleaned it. The best advice I could give anybody is to NOT take anything to be cleaned here.

This business ruined two sweaters of my wife's. We both complained and absolutely nothing was done . I even wrote a letter and no response. All we got was a shrug of the shoulders and a silly laugh from some gal with pink hair. My wife has used this business for many years. We will no longer use this cleaning business and will use a competitor instead.8/31/2023Yes, you do know my wife's name and she did speak with you about the sweaters as you mentioned. Your offer of cleaning the sweaters again would do no good since they were ruined when laundered instead of dry cleaned as requested. Once the sweater fabric is stretched one or two sizes bigger, it isn't going back into its original shape. The damage can not be undone.Apparently your offer to clean her sweaters again and explanation were not to my wife's satisfaction and her reasoning for taking her business elsewhere. All I can do is support her decision to use another cleaning business after nearly 40 years of using Progress Cleaners. Sadly to say, I think the bridges have been burned.

When I call and ask about something that's meant as an emergency situation to get my suit cleaned and I get scoffed at and told that I'm not intelligent because I didn't clean it sooner for a funeral it is insulting. Considering I did get it dry cleaned. It's not my fault my nephew knocked it down and spilled soda on it. Rude people should not answer the phones and when the reason is stated, namely that my mother died and her funeral is the next day, you should have some decorum and kindness rather than act like a toddler who just got told her toy got broken by her own incompetent actions. So no I will not be changing my rating.

I have used this cleaner/shirt service for 32 years. Very satisfied, shirts are starched as I agreed, clothes are cleaned and protected. Never rude. An A+ operation.

I've been using this branch of Progress Cleaners since I returned to Tyler in 1988. Never a slip-up, always excellent laundry and dry cleaning. Very pleasant folks to deal with. An asset to Tyler.

We try to do business with company’s close to our home. We’ve used this Dry Cleaner for years. We don’t have a lot that needs dry cleaning but the last 2 yrs (or more) have been Extremely Frustrating! When we take something in with a stain we make sure we point it out and ask for it to be treated. A few months back I took in a light colored coat that had chocolate stains on it. I showed them and told them what caused the stain. They did not treat it but dry cleaned it with the chocolate on it. It set in the stain! They tried to get it out but all they could do was lighting the stain. My husband has taken his slacks there and they misalign the creases and end up putting more than one crease down the front and back. When they don’t do that they can’t seem to hang up the slacks straight so you end up with wrinkled slacks. We’ve had enough. We will no longer take anything else to them!
