Got a bill for 187. 00. Their service never worked from installation date. I work remotely and own a business. My business phone was out for 13 days after a 99.00 install. I could not stay connected to service either of my clients for 14 days. So basically I went 14 days no setvice. Lost multiple hours of work and they dont compensate for when their service dont work and offered me 15.00 credit when I missed hundreds of dollars of work. I got an incomplete install. The installer had my ethernet cable in the wrong slot but that did not fix it. I still went on another week with no service. Dont do it. Atnt may be expensive but worth it. I will be moving my service.

Be sure to document everything when you return the equipment to close your account with these corporate thugs. They have a history of continuing to charge for services after the customer cancels service. Our issue started in 2021 with Suddenlink and now in 2024 they (Optimum) are still attempting to bill us for phone service that was cancelled in 2021. In defense of Optimum, Suddenlink is ultimately responsible and Optimum is probably now stuck dealing with Suddenlink's messes and billing fraud?

The first number I called, which came up with Google, I got some Indian who was rude. My connectivity was not strong. He told me if I paid my bill it would be fixed. I told him no, it wasn't due and it was automatically deducted. I wanted a supervisor, he said he was a supervisor. Again, I told him he was lying. You never call a number and get a supervisor right away. He continued to insist that if I just paid my bill my internet would work... Like magic. I hung up and searched again. Called this number and spoke with Adam who was very nice and worked to find a solution. Never once did he mention my bill, which isn't due for two more weeks. Adam is the only reason I gave three stars. Had I talked to him first, I would've given five. Do better on your requirements for customer service, even when outsourcing.

No issues…until I moved. So basically, don’t move. A MONTH after I move, I had to create a whole new mobile account, got kicked out of my TV provider and can’t use it anymore, being charged MORE now that I’ve moved when nothing has changed, my modem and password are literally the same. Yet I had to create all new everything. So there’s really no such thing as transferring with them it’s a whole new ordeal.

If I could give a WORSE review, I would. I called around Christmas weekend asking if it was possible for them to install internet (because I know it’s a holiday) and I get a call, at 11 AM, many hours before the installation time I set up, stating that they were ready to install (meanwhile I’m at work at the hospital). The installation time I set up was 5 PM. This person’s response as to why they wanted to go ahead and install? He said “yeah I have to see my mom in the evening and my grandmother and I have family things so, yeah, I got things to do”. Extremely unprofessional that I just stayed silent for an entire minute. By the way, I’m an essential worker so I work holidays. You’re not the only one that has to work . I called back to please cancel the service and he starts BERATING me as to why I am now canceling and then hung up on me. Today, I got another call asking when they can come install the service and after I explained that I didn’t want to anymore and have cancelled a month ago, the man said “gotcha” and hung up on me. The professionalism is top notch, I have to say. I wouldn’t let them in my house.

Absolutely the worst customer service EVER. Each and every time. No email, call center is apparently in India with broken English. 2 hours to try to get credits for the 8 days of outages. 4days for trucks to prepare for artic storm in Texas and other 4 from the Epic fail because storms knocked it out anyways. Mind Blowing that customers are required to call in to receive credits that Optimum is already aware of.

Incredibly difficult - if not impossible - to disconnect services and have them stop billing me. I tried for 10 minutes. Going forward I will report the charges as fraudulent. Consider this as written notice.
