Terrible mofongo and they change the basic Cuban sandwich recipe from chunks of pernil to shredded pork, bad. I Went twice to give it a second chance but not coming back ever. Now we can have better options in lots of food trucks around the city.

I never write reviews but this was terrible... Came here at 2 pm on a Saturday. Completely dead, no one there including employees. When I rang the bell someone finally came out the back. Waited an HOUR and a HALF to two hours for my to go food. The worker told me they had a big order in front of me but they were basically done and my food would be right up. After about the 30 minute mark he said sorry that they were still working on the big order and my order. The hour mark we were going to leave he said no the food was coming out. As a fellow Puerto Rican who hasn't found very good PR food in SA I was excited to try this restaurant so I stayed. After an hour and a half to two hours of waiting for my TO GO order the guy tells me they don't take card the machine is broken and they only take cash or cash app...... I don't carry cash. So I sent him cash app. He didn't know the prices of anything, so it seemed like he just made up the prices . I spent over 60 dollars on food trying to support my people. I didn't get half of what I ordered.. the empanada was still frozen on the inside, the shrimp wasn't cooked all the way I didn't get my pastry or my kids chicken and fries and was missing my rice. I should have checked before I left but after two hours I assumed I had the freshest meal of my life. WRONG. Would never go here and will tell everyone I know to avoid this place at all cost. It's tragic....

Today was my 3rd time TRYING to eat here. The 1st time they told my parents and i that they were short on staff and that it would be a while. We waited 45 min and left. 2nd time I went with coworkers but the credit card machines were down. And then today. Showed up at 12pm with 2 coworkers again. Sign said 'Open' but NO ONE WAS THERE. NO LIGHTS ON. Tried calling - DISCONNECTED. Idk what's going on, but I'm done trying.

Did not care for the attitude of the owner. Very, very arrogant and bad service from him. There are plenty of better Puerto Rican restaurants in the San Antonio area. Our waitress was very sweet though and the lady cooking in the back is an amazing chef; but, the male owner has a very disrespectful and arrogant attitude and just because of him we will never be returning.

The food was amazing. It's a wonderful place to stop by and eat for lunch or dinner. Everything was well seasoned. The staff was polite and friendly and kept my family laughing. I looked forward to eating there again.

Good food. Reminds me of the ocean coasts in Puerto Rico... with the blue sky's. The only thing missing is a great background music to top it off. Love the home style restaurant. Will recommend to all my friends.

I stopped here to get a Cuban sandwich to go. The restaurant was clean and nicely decorated island style. The selections in the menu was not very large but had all the most common dishes. The workers were very friendly. The sandwich was hot, well prepared and fresh. I recommend their Cuban sandwich but judging from the smells and the plates it all looked delicious.

“The guy is rude and they didn’t have half the menu , They didn’t have chicken breast , relleno, empanadias de carne . The floor was soooo sticky , I almost lost my shoe . He act like he didn’t care and snorted a big loogie in the trash right before he took our order! Didn’t introduce himself and just stood there. Took forever to get our food. He like disappeared when we needed to pay.
