I took my vehicle in on 12/2022 for an engine light and was told the catalytic converter needed to be replaced. Paid $2,199 to replace. Shortly after that the engine light went on, so I took it back and was told they forgot to replace the sensors. They completed the work and a few months later the engine light went on and again the code was for the catalytic converter, so in 7/2023 they decided to replace it with another. In 12/2023 my engine light once again went on. This time around I took it to another shop to see what they would say and the code read catalytic converter and I was told it was the part they were using. I called Shorts Garage, spoke to Dave and he told me that Ernie would call me back. Couple of weeks past and nothing. I sent Dave a text to let him know I was still waiting on a call back. Ernie finally called me, we spoke briefly about the inconvenience of me having to keep going to his shop for the same issue and I told him after 4 attempts maybe a refund would be best so I could get someone else to fix it. He said he was going to look into it and he would call me back that afternoon. No call back, so I reached out again. He called me a week later and told me it would cost $1,000 more to replace with an OE part (I had no idea they used an aftermarket part). I said absolutely not, the most I’d be willing to pay was $500. He again said he would see what he could do, since he would prefer a small loss instead of a full refund. Then the last time I spoke to him he changed it up and said a refund wasn’t possible because he needed the part back and there was no way of doing this. After that call with Ernie I took it to the dealership to confirm it was the catalytic converter, and it was. The tech there told me they could give me the part from shorts garage so I could take it back for a refund, but I would be charged $100. Relayed the message via text to Dave from Shorts Garage and he asked that I call him. At this point Ernie is avoiding me, so I have no choice but to speak to Dave, who is very rude. He relays a message from Ernie and says they will not be issuing me a refund and that my only option is to pay them $1,000 to replace. It was excuse after excuse and complete rudeness. I ended up getting my vehicle fixed at the dealership, paid $100 for them to give me the part back, which I now have here at home ?♀️ I will be filing a complaint with BBB and any other forum I can with the hopes that I get my money back. #SingleParent

Honest, good prices (charged me $150 less than the initial estimate), and quality work. My car hasn't run this well since I drove it off the lot. I highly recommend this place!

Was referred to this shop by an oil change service shop.Decided to try this shop due to moving to a new area. Paid Shorts Garage almost 2000 for an A/C compressor and valve. Less than a week later my A/C was not blowing cold in the vents.Took my vehicle back to address the issue with them and left my vehicle with them again to diagnose the and correct the issue on their end.They had to change the valve again because they put a faulty valve in during the first repair which was stated when I received a call that evening. Then less than 2 weeks later my A/C was still not circulating or blowing cold.Went to address the issue again with the shop and they took it to the back for five minutes and gave me some excuse on what is wrong which turned out not the issue and wanted to charge me extra money to repair other issues that may be related to my A/C Compressor and valve.

Was referred here by Take 5 (the location off FM78) for a pretty simple repair. I tell one of the mechanics what the issue is. He tells me he needs to "go get some information" and then leaves me sitting there for 45 minutes.
