It is a great place to learn horsemanship, with instruction that starts from the ground up. The program offers good basic instruction and progression, with safety as a big priority. The ranch understands each student's needs and level, helping coach from fear back to confidence. It is a wonderful place for all ages, with an ability to connect with kids in a way they understand. The ranch also provides awesome group days with pony rides, hay rides, horse demonstrations, feeding the livestock, and milking goats against a beautiful rural backdrop. It is a fun day for kids and adults, highly recommended for groups. Everything at the Cactus Rose is produced right in Texas, partnering with customers to build a sustainable model that benefits the family and the community.

They are very knowledgeable about the techniques and the do's and don'ts on how to ride and position yourself properly, as well as how to become one with the horse in more ways than one.

Wonderful first time experience. Dave has created a program where anyone can feel comfortable and confident with how to approach, handle, and ride a horse; on and off saddle. He and his family are passionate with their craft, and it shows with how much they emphasize the fundamentals of being on and around a horse.
