Not happy , i got it for the dependability and so far its not. So many intermittent outages . Geez Rise was more dependable.

I feel like half the reviews with 5 stars are trying to combat the 1 stars ratings here. WHY? Probably an employee of the company. Service is horrible. When it works, it works great, BUT it literally goes out HALF the time, if not more. It's so spotty that a Dalmatian would be jealous. These days, people rely on the internet for their daily routines and SURVIVAL. Who is the CEO of this company? For one, they need to be fired or sell the business. You call in to get help, and it's like pulling tooth and nail. Unfortunately, there's nothing better out here in VA for internet service BUT if you're going to charge folks $80 per month for the service to work 50% of the time, we all need monthly refunds. I think it's time we start demanding this and contact the BBB, FCC, and our Attorney General.

Incredible customer service! We have fast & reliable fiber at our brand new rural home!! I was blown away by the installer’s attention to detail. Galen, Kyle, and Aubrey respected our home and explained their steps in detail. From bringing the internet line to our rural home from the road to directly into our brand new house - I was amazed by the level of expertise and service.

I have been with GCC for over a year and never had an outage. They were very helpful setting up our streaming system when we first moved into our new home.

We live outside of the service area for most other internet providers and have used GCEC Telecom for 8 years now. We have had great response and communication whenever there’s been an issue and most of the time it’s been on our end. We now have a high tech mesh router in the house that has improved signal. We are waiting it out until fiber comes to our area but for now we’re happy.

GCEC fiber is A++++++++ after years of bad service with large companies. After suffering about 3 miserable years with ATT 50mbps that would go down at least twice a month. I switched to Suddenlink 300mbps and spent 2 UNRELIABLE/ ENEN MORE MISERBALE years. Suddenlink would be down hard sometimes 8-12 hours a day and you wake up the next day, praying your internet was back on. This was happening sometimes twice a week. Suddenlink never provided an explanation on why their service was down and other companies were up. Too many fiber cuts and horrible restoration times. More insulting was looking at their "outage map" and seeing only 20 people down, when EVERYONE on Next Door in Prosper and Celina were down. Zero transparency! Flash forward the BEST experience EVER with GCEC. Fiber. The installation, inside and outside wiring, were days before the quoted service intervals. Both techs James and Galen were very PROFESSIONAL, courteous and did things the right way...finally a company that doesn't leave un-buried cables laying in the street. The fiber service is lightning fast and RELIABLE!!!! HIGHLY recommend switching ASAP.

I recommend GCEC. The tech care enough to quickly resolve issues plus symmetric fiber internet is the best; 1000mb up/down. I had suddenlink before and the service was terrible.

I would like begin this review with stating 2 things:For starters, I'm an IT professional with over a decade of hands on experience with network management.For another, I HATE having to write reviews like this. I feel these are tough times and people NEED reliable service more than ever right now.I've had GCEC as my ISP for over a year now. Whenever it is working, it's great. But it's not working often enough that I would never recommend it based off of my current experience. Unfortunately the only consistent thing about this service is it's unreliability. I've had tech's out to resolve connection issues several times and I just don't have the time to keep doing it. I wish I was exaggerating (I'll 100% assure you I'm not) whenever I say my service goes down at least once per day. It's not uncommon for it to drop several times a day though.As for right now, 10:00 on a Saturday night... with teenagers..... I seek prayers to aid in my own survival at this point.

Switched from Suddenlink last year. It’s so nice to deal with a company that treats you like a valued person. Plus for half the cost we have reliable internet!

I would recommend to never get GCEC because it has slow internet,buffering,and it's pricey for the kind of internet you get.One day I was fed up with all of this mess,so I called and complained they said to get the upgraded internet aa d it was even worse I would give it a zero if I another thing the internet wont hook up to one of my family members phone that lives I. Never get this Internet!!!!!!!!
