“Oh my goodness, what a blessing this cute and safe place is. Many hotels were booked last night. I stopped due to a flat tire on Saturday night. It's clean and had everything I needed to rest and rejuvenate. I was referred by another local, booked-up hotel. I called late, and they waited up for me. This place is better than where I was looking for a room elsewhere. The gentleman was helpful and caring.”

“The place is nice and clean and the employees are nice and friendly. Only issues were the strong sent of cleaning products in the room. For most this isn't a problem but my husband is very sensitive to smells this was overwhelming for him.
After a very long day of driving I was really looking forward to sitting in the hot tub. Disappointed to find that their swimming pool was completely empty and the hot tub not available.
The free breakfast was very nice, lots of variety.
Rooms: Room was nice and clean. There was a strong smell in the room maybe air freshener or cleaning product?
Ran the AC for a while to clear out the smell.
Food & drinks: They have hot tea and coffee available for free all the time. The free breakfast was good lots of variety and lots of different beverages,”

“Econo Lodge can be hit and miss and so my expectations are usually very low; however, this was a really decent stay!
The rooms were CLEAN! I can tell that the owners/staff take pride in their property. Our room was very quiet for our stay (at the end of the building) and the front desk lady and gentleman were friendly and helpful. Breakfast is currently suspended due to staffing issues (?) but that wasn't a problem for us. Apparently the ice machine recently broke but the gentleman offered me ice out of a cooler which was much appreciated and was sufficient for our needs.
I would definitely stay here again if I find myself back in this area!”
“My gf and I stayed here when we were visiting Guadalupe national park. The staff was extremely friendly, our room was clean, and our stay was nice. The downsides of staying here are it's close to the train tracks, but everything in van horn is close to the train tracks. Also, the walls were a bit thin but this is out of the staffs control. Remember, you're in West Texas! If you want luxury go to San Antonio. ?”

“Traveled to Van Horn to watch a Blue Origin rocket launch, and the Red Roof Inn was the only hotel with rooms available, I’m not going to lie I was a little weary at first but Twyla made me feel like I was at a 5-star resort!?
When we checked in she ran to our rooms to make sure everything was perfect for our stay, she helped us find the best viewing point for the launch, had great recommendations for dining, and came to the rescue when a loud banging noise was keeping us up at night.
I also had incredible experiences with the cleaning staff who were all incredibly kind and helpful.
Overall I would absolutely recommend a stay at the Red Roof Inn especially if Twyla is there!”
“The check in lady was super friendly and professional. This is one of the cleanest hotel rooms ive ever slept in - like not even a competition. The bed was super comfortable. The room temperature was perfect and the bedding reflected the room temp, not the external temp. The parking lot was well lit. The room was totally silent, couldnt hear the road at all and the parking lot noise was significantly muffled. Bathroom and shower were exceptionally clean and easy to use. I know at night it has a *vibe* but i will absolutely stay here again if ever i need to stay in van horn again.”

“Great stay. Unfortunate that route to get to the hotel is a bit confusing. Service was over the top, with friendly and helpful staff. Even offered to get ice for me. Second time there and will be back if going through Van Horn again.”

“Right off the highway it was a great place to crash after a long drive. Air-conditioned was great, hot water in the shower, it was all we needed after 7 hours of driving. Front desk worker was there when we checked in and when we left. Hard worker!”

“Really cool old school hotel. Rooms are comfy, and the restaurant is nice. Just be aware that trains are running in the vicinity, and they do sound their horns. Not a problem for me, as I got a good night's rest.”
