“Oh my goodness, what a blessing this cute and safe place is. Many hotels were booked last night. I stopped due to a flat tire on Saturday night. It's clean and had everything I needed to rest and rejuvenate. I was referred by another local, booked-up hotel. I called late, and they waited up for me. This place is better than where I was looking for a room elsewhere. The gentleman was helpful and caring.”

“The place is nice and clean and the employees are nice and friendly. Only issues were the strong sent of cleaning products in the room. For most this isn't a problem but my husband is very sensitive to smells this was overwhelming for him.
After a very long day of driving I was really looking forward to sitting in the hot tub. Disappointed to find that their swimming pool was completely empty and the hot tub not available.
The free breakfast was very nice, lots of variety.
Rooms: Room was nice and clean. There was a strong smell in the room maybe air freshener or cleaning product?
Ran the AC for a while to clear out the smell.
Food & drinks: They have hot tea and coffee available for free all the time. The free breakfast was good lots of variety and lots of different beverages,”

“A hidden gem.
Quiet and clean. Great water pressure and hot water. Desk with office chair. Table with two chairs. Comfortable bed. Good lighting.
This place is kind of out of the way, but truck stops and restaurants less than two miles away. No traffic.
I've stayed here a couple times. It's a go to nights rest for me when I'm passing through.”
“We travel to Arizona several times a year and stay at Motel 6 going to AZ and returning to TX. This time, as it has always been in the past, the customer service was great, the room was very clean, and it's easy and convenient right off the freeway. The rooms are always clean, simple and just what you need for a great nights sleep.”

“Traveled to Van Horn to watch a Blue Origin rocket launch, and the Red Roof Inn was the only hotel with rooms available, I’m not going to lie I was a little weary at first but Twyla made me feel like I was at a 5-star resort!?
When we checked in she ran to our rooms to make sure everything was perfect for our stay, she helped us find the best viewing point for the launch, had great recommendations for dining, and came to the rescue when a loud banging noise was keeping us up at night.
I also had incredible experiences with the cleaning staff who were all incredibly kind and helpful.
Overall I would absolutely recommend a stay at the Red Roof Inn especially if Twyla is there!”

“3/11/26 - Recently built, clean and modern. Great breakfast spread and pleasant staff! I don’t understand the other reviewers comments about no hot water. We were on the second floor and had plenty of hot water. My only complaint is the fire doors, which didn’t have pistons to keep them from loudly slamming.”

“The check in lady was super friendly and professional. This is one of the cleanest hotel rooms ive ever slept in - like not even a competition. The bed was super comfortable. The room temperature was perfect and the bedding reflected the room temp, not the external temp. The parking lot was well lit. The room was totally silent, couldnt hear the road at all and the parking lot noise was significantly muffled. Bathroom and shower were exceptionally clean and easy to use. I know at night it has a *vibe* but i will absolutely stay here again if ever i need to stay in van horn again.”

“Really cool old school hotel. Rooms are comfy, and the restaurant is nice. Just be aware that trains are running in the vicinity, and they do sound their horns. Not a problem for me, as I got a good night's rest.”
