“Given that its in the middle of nowhere and the town is very run down, I was skeptical. But the rooms where so great, very clean and modern. We were so impressed. The price was by far the best of anything we could find even hours away. The staff was friendly and very helpful. I will definitely recommend to anyone who will happen to be passing through VH”

“A hidden gem.
Quiet and clean. Great water pressure and hot water. Desk with office chair. Table with two chairs. Comfortable bed. Good lighting.
This place is kind of out of the way, but truck stops and restaurants less than two miles away. No traffic.
I've stayed here a couple times. It's a go to nights rest for me when I'm passing through.”
“Where do I even start. I travel the United States as a heavy civil dirt worker than I have been to countless motels, hotels, RV parks and quite frankly this motel six in Van Horn Texas is in my top five of the best stays I’ve had. Ms. Shelley, Ms. Debbie, and almost every single other staff member at this hotel has been incredible very friendly very understanding but definitely a huge shout out to Miss Debbie and miss Michelle for going above and beyond to help their customers. The housekeeping and maintenance are absolutely phenomenal and friendly. I honestly cannot say enough good things, but if you’re ever in Van Horn Texas, definitely a 10 out of 10 place to stay. The rooms are clean. ACs are cold very quiet and again the staff is very tentative.”

“Traveled to Van Horn to watch a Blue Origin rocket launch, and the Red Roof Inn was the only hotel with rooms available, I’m not going to lie I was a little weary at first but Twyla made me feel like I was at a 5-star resort!?
When we checked in she ran to our rooms to make sure everything was perfect for our stay, she helped us find the best viewing point for the launch, had great recommendations for dining, and came to the rescue when a loud banging noise was keeping us up at night.
I also had incredible experiences with the cleaning staff who were all incredibly kind and helpful.
Overall I would absolutely recommend a stay at the Red Roof Inn especially if Twyla is there!”

“3/11/26 - Recently built, clean and modern. Great breakfast spread and pleasant staff! I don’t understand the other reviewers comments about no hot water. We were on the second floor and had plenty of hot water. My only complaint is the fire doors, which didn’t have pistons to keep them from loudly slamming.”
“Nice hotel. It's right on the main street and with in walking distance of the local stores. The front desk personal was very nice and pleasant. Would stay again.”
“The room was basic but clean. The water got hot right away so that was nice. They advertise a continental breakfast, but there wasn't any. Not even coffee in the lobby in the morning.”

“A great place on a long trip across West Texas. Nice historic vibe. Staff was excellent and very helpful from the first booking call to the final checkout. Good food offered in the restaurant and the complimentary breakfast was better than most. Our room was a little small but not unexpected for a hotel this age.”
