Call before you drive the huge potholed parking lot....and walk in and the place has been almost emptied of tables and they're doing reconstruction.... They're closed. No signs on door or in parking lot. In 112* Temps, it was frustrating.

Don’t let the inside scare you away. Got spicy cheese enchiladas and they were really good. A hole in the wall worth the visit.

If you are looking for homemade food, this is the right place and at a very fair price! Plenty of space to stop the truck, I highly recommend it!

I go by here on my route almost every week and finally decided to try it. I had the chicken Fajitas and the flavor was amazing. Definitely a weekly stop from now on.

Food delicious, service amazing. My Mom and I traveled to Marfa, Alpine, Ft. Davis and finally Van Horn, Tx over Labor Day, 2022. We were fortunate to see the Marfa Lights, we toured Ft. Davis on a golf cart generously loaned to us by park rangers, and we stayed at the fabulous Maverick Inn in Alpine. On our way back home, we were hungry. Many restaurants were closed along the way, so we decided to eat in Van Horn. There, we discovered Lindsey's. Lindsey's is located across the street from Love's Truckstop at the far East end of town. Not only was our server delightful, the owners were there and working hard, too. They are really a team, and the cafe is named for one of their daughters. My Mom ordered the tacos, nicely fried shells..no store bought pre-fabricated tacos..and I had a cheeseburger (bunless) and fries. The fries were obviously fresh, hand cut, perfectly cooked and truly delicious. My Mom noted the fries were prepared much like she does them, and she was curious to know if they were as good as hers. I told her "almost", but the truth is, they were!! The tacos were also terrific, as was the Spanish Rice served along with it. So, you can tour or stay the historic El Capitan while you are in Van Horn. Their restaurant is lovely with the white tablecloths and silver, however, when travelling along with your sweet pups, sometimes you just need to eat something good! Even our little pups got a generous patty at Lindsey's. And you can, too!! Enjoy and safe travels.Vegetarian options: rice, beans, salads etcDietary restrictions: Good for CeliacParking: Many spotsKid-friendliness: The cafe is named after their daughter, who they obviously adore so I feel like your kiddos would be more than welcome.

I won’t eat here again. Nice people. I wish them luck but. They have no clue how to cook Mexican food. They basically took canned ingredients cheese gristle filled beef and fried it all at once on a grill. Tossed it on a big store bought flour tortilla and grilled it. Jalapeños is the way they flavor. According to them. Meat wasn’t even seasoned. Just from frying the Jalapeños. Also so called home made red salsa was flavorless orange colored water. I think they have potential if they learn to cook fresh. And not try to get by with grilling everything together all at once with cheese and jalapeños. When I asked why they cooked like this they claimed it’s called Tex Mex. I beg to differ.

We stayed at Mountain View RV park one night and asked about where to eat dinner. We were told Lindsey's had great food and especially breakfast. It was not crowded, only 2 other tables of guests.Don't expect fine dining - very old building and strange layout but welcoming. Music and TV were playing softly.Menu is on the wall but you have to ask for details. Our server couldn't have been sweeter. We opted for breakfast and had delicious, made from scratch pancakes, french toast, hash browns, eggs and bacon. Everything was prepared perfectly. Served with butter pecan syrup. We would go back.

It smelled pretty bad. The incense made it worse. The fries seemed pretty old and had no taste. The burger was okay, but we had to eat it in the parking lot due to the smell of the restaurant.

Very delicious authentic meal and the two ladies inside were so very nice. They will fill your belly with good food and laughter. They were so cute in their proud moment of sharing a bit of history that it was the location of a movie scene. I highly recommend this place for eatery and i will dine here every chance i get when passing through. Thank you ladies

If you enjoy supporting small restaurants, this is one to consider. Being a truck driver, the same ol’ truck stop food gets old. If you want a home cooked meal this is the place to stop. The environment is not of five star decor or quality but that all goes away when your plate hits the table and the customer service is on a more personal level- like home.
