Very nice and quiet..property is on the Sabial river.. play ground for the kids and 1.2 miles from Lost Maples State natural park 10 miles of hiking trails..also this area is 30 minutes from grocery store. Bring food , drinks, cups , plates, spices, oil , they have some pots and pans and dishes. Easy online reservations. Keep it clean for all of us to enjoy

Excellent communication and customer service. Extremely reasonable pricing for the value. Incredible setting. I was looking for a quiet place to bring my dog for the 4th (he struggles with fireworks). Buena vista was the perfect spot. Great views and seclusion. The river was high and not safe to swim in but we had some great walks along it.

Thanks for a quiet and relaxing stay. This is my third visit and it has been the best. The cabins are rustic, clean and comfortable. I only wish for a longer stay. Maybe next time?
Update ... I finally made it back after 4 years, (which was way too long) and I have to say it's still just as nice. After hiking at Lost Maples, the hot shower was perfect, the beds are comfy. Foxfire Cabins is a terrific respite from the hustle and bustle of life. For me it's a chance to slow down and enjoy the peace and quiet I can't find in the city.
Thanks to Patti and Burt for the stay.

Constructive criticism. PLEASE UPGRADE THE BATHROOMS AND PLUG RECEPTICALS. Main house: The main restroom stepping into and out of the tube was very sketchy. Master bedroom, the shower head needs to be replaced. After a long day of river fun and sweating, a good shower is essential. The plugs are older, and when I plug stuff in, they fall out.
I can't express enough how amazing this place is!. So beautiful and relaxing. Spacious kitchen living room and bedrooms. Very clean and original decore! Highly recommend this place for friends and family!

Amazing place to stay, especially if you are looking to unplug. Wood burning stoves and fire pits for the winter and an amazing, spring-fed watering-hole/river for the summer. The owners are amazing people and so hospitable. It's worth the drive for a relaxing weekend or week long retreat!

Foxfire Cabins is the perfect place for a quiet get away. The owners set you up with everything you need and are always willing to help make your stay as cozy as possible. The cabins are very nice and being only 2 miles away from Lost Maples park makes this a prime location for a nature getaway.

We loved our stay. We were actually in the Utopia location, we did have cell service and quick access to the Cafe, the general store and lovely community. We enjoyed exploring Lost Maples and Garner areas.

This is the second time for us staying at Foxfire! We love it! You have to be okay with no TV and no internet.....it's not easy for our tween at first and then it turns into almost the best part of the getaway......so many games played! And access to the water is perfect....a nice dip after hiking in Lost Maples! And you won't find better, more attentative staff!!!! Love it here!

The little cabins are quaint. They are filled with antiques and cute decor. The surroundings are lovely and the cabins are spaced apart from each other with a fire ring. The walk down to the river is nice where complete river access.
The bad… the floors and table of our cabin are in need of refinishing. I got a sliver from the table. The beds sag in the middle and made impossible to sleep. The one ac window unit did not keep the place cool the first day was 97 and the bedroom was hot and so was the bathroom.
We enjoyed the atmosphere and the owners were very nice.

Rooms: Sorry but the mattresses were horrible. We didn't get any sleep and we were there 4 days. All our friends had the same problem. New mattresses, mattress pads and sheets would have let us enjoy our time alot better. These cabins could use a good cleaning and updated bathrooms and kitchens.

This was my 2nd time staying in this cabin with a group of friends, and, once again, it was a fabulous experience. Very well located and well stocked for just about everything you would need. I arrived home to realize I had left a few items, but after a quick phone call, my items were wrapped & boxed securely, and back to me within a few days! I highly recommend Foxfire Cabins for your next stay when visiting this area.Rooms: Well stocked and comfortable, plenty of towels, kitchen cookware, etc. You might want to bring your own wine glasses.Nearby activities: Los Maples state parking. Easy to challenging trails with fabulous views. Small towns for restaurants, shopping located within 30 mins.
