“I drive a foreign car (Mercedez Benz) and it needed some mechanical work. I did not want to toll my car to an out-of-town dealership as most people in town do. So, I was told by a brother who works for a local towing company. I ran across VLZ Collision online. On their website it stated they do automotive repair and the site also displayed pictures of final repair jobs.
VLZ Collision not only diagnosed the problem (water pump) but repaired the problem and gave me a GREAT PRICE and the staff was nice and professional! I would recommend them and use them again.”

“Called ahead of time to check for oil, they took the details of my brothers truck and got it ready, even told me the oil I was going to get was the right one for it just to make sure. I was told that the oil I chose had a discount on it at the moment so I decided to go with that and got the oil change completed.”
“Stopped by the dealership looking for a missing trim piece for my truck. They happily informed me they could sell me one for $167… unpainted. So after buying it I’d still have to pay to have it painted.
That sounded like a terrible deal, so I drove right around the corner to C&D Auto Parts.
The gentleman at the counter looked up the part and was pretty sure they had one. Unfortunately I showed up during lunch and he was absolutely slammed. No fault of theirs. He took my phone number and said he’d give me a call.
About an hour later my phone rang.
Not only did they have the part, it just happened to be the exact color I needed.
$40 later I was back home installing it. Saved well over a hundred bucks, and I didn’t have to mess with paint.
It’s a smaller salvage yard, but then again… it’s Victoria. If you’re hunting for parts, it’s absolutely worth stopping by to see what they’ve got. If they don’t have what you need, they’re even willing to check other salvage yards for you. That’s customer service you don’t always find anymore.
Now, I have to mention the shop cat.
He was perched on the counter when I first walked in, meticulously cleaning himself. I left, came back about two hours later after they called…

Still licking himself.
This cat has the strongest commitment to personal hygiene I’ve ever witnessed. Either that, or he was trying to wear himself down to nothing.
If you’re a cat person, give the little guy a scratch behind the ears. If you’re not, don’t worry. He couldn’t care less about your existence. He’s got important grooming responsibilities to attend to.
Anyway… back on topic.
Friendly people, fair prices, and they saved me a bunch of money with exactly the part I needed. I’d definitely recommend checking C&D before paying dealership prices. Sometimes the best part on the shelf is the one that already matches your paint code. Humanity occasionally stumbles into efficiency by accident, and it’s nice when you’re the beneficiary.”

The people that I met today are nice folks that are very knowledgeable when it comes to hydraulicsI showed up Monday morning shortly after they opened up.
