This is the WORST dollar general in Victoria, Texas. The employees are determined to not ring up customers. The employees are determined to have as little interaction with customers as possible, and when they do, they are combative and argumentative. Instead of deescalating situations, the manager is rude, combative with customers, and antagonizes people as they leave the store. It’s almost as if they want confrontation.

As with any place, you're going to get a mix bag of reviews. My experience here has never been bad. I come here somewhat often to stock up on bread, milk, chips, and lunch meat to keep on hand in our office. I checked out here recently and didn't know they had a self-checkout. The employee on staff was super helpful and very cordially pointed me to the terminal where I was able to complete my purchase while they continued stocking shelves. Great place.

Was rudely interrogated tonight about my service animal (dog) and argued with about what the ADA law states about service animals. The “manager” had the nerve to tell me because she wasn’t wearing the service animal harness that she wasn’t a service animal. (This is not something that is required by law). I will be contacting Corporate to let them know of this incident so they can properly educate their employees on ADA service animal laws/requirements.
