One star for the park☆ Five stars for the lady at the front desk ☆☆☆☆☆We stayed on February 19 for one night. We arrived mid afternoon to early evening. We were greeted by a very very friendly lady ( can't remember her name, she has a baby frenchie ?) We visited with her a bit, then proceeded to our spot (#90). The spots were a bit close to each other, but than seems to be the norm these days at RV parks. ? The person next to us in #89 had his pickup parked in his "yard" area, which put it super close to our parking pad. We had to watch opening our pickup door, or we could have easily hit his truck. We parked our truck and RV, didn't even unhook because we were tired and were just staying one night. With the park being right off I10 we knew there would be some road noise, but where we were put, was the worst we have ever had to deal with. It did not make for a good nights sleep at all! ? The next morning, we closed our slides, unhooked everything to leave. Sadly we were not able to just drive away due to the way the neighbor had parked and the vehicles in the spots across the road had parked. The turn was too tight, it would not be a pretty sight, there would either be truck damage, RV damage....probably both!! Unfortunately we had to knock on #89 door (for a good bit because he was asleep I'm sure) to ask him to move his pickup so we could leave. He was a bit put out at being woke up, but it's the only way we could leave without damage. Our suggestion would be... knowing someone is stopping for one night, (usually means they have been traveling all day and will be traveling the next day to their next destination) put them farther away from full timers and the traffic noise that the full timers are more used to. I know there were areas farther away from I10 according to the map, understanding they could have all been booked and full. IDK ?♀️ I'm not sure if the discount of being Passport America put us in a less popular area ?♀️ But we were not impressed.

Went to visit a friend and we hung out inside. There was a pool table, TV, couches, games, nice patio area and some other amenities. It was nice and cozy.

We knew the resort is on I-10, so we expected traffic noise, but there is also a busy railroad intersection and construction close by, so it is very noisy. There are roughly 200 spots counting the 17 cabins, but only 4 working washing machines. The Internet is not always good enough to stream, but we couldn't connect to the cable because the jack was ant infested and plugged with sand. The person we worked with was very nice (and has an adorable puppy). The place is gated and feels very safe. The bathrooms are private and good size. I found the common areas were all clean and well kept. I feel the park is better suited for transient workers than vacationers.

Sits right next to I-10 and was it was loud. They do have some areas farther away from the freeway not sure how you'd get one of those spots. It was ok for one night but that's the most I would stay. It does have a nice looking lake unfya cold spell had hit and we didn't do any exploring

I hate to leave a negative review for any place but I have to say I was really disappointed in Boomtown in Vidor. After about 9 PM we began to smell what seemed to be natural gas. The smell was overwhelming. For the first time ever, the CO2/Propane alarm in my trailer went off, I had no idea what is was, had never heard it before. Once I figured it out, it only added to our unease about this powerful smell of what seemed to be natural gas.I left 3 messages via text to the office, and never heard a word back from anybody so finally I called the gas company. They sent a man out to check the area, and he informed me that there was no natural gas pipelines nearby. I said well what is the smell from? He said he had no idea, and he was local.I can only assume that what we were smelling with sulfur or sewage. There was no emergency contact for the park. If the laundry room across from us had been on fire we would have been left with no recourse but to call the fire department because there was no way to contact the park owner. I can only assume so because my texts were never answered. This may be a normal smell for this area which in and of itself is an incentive not to stay there but it should be mentioned so people dont panic ... "if the wind changes you may smell sulfur, don't be alarmed. There's nothing to worry about."It would've made our experience a lot better.

I’ll just paste the message that I sent them as my review. Do not come here.“It’s 80 degrees in our cabin.Again.We have left the cabin for the day.Again.Because we have 3 kids who can’t live in 85 degrees day in and day out without getting sick. Shame on y’all for being more concerned with lining your pockets than about operating an honorable business. Your cabins aren’t just hot - they’re inhabitable. There’s a difference. This has been going on for months. Y’all are negligible at best and at worst completely unethical. You would NEVER condone this if it were happening to you or your loved ones. Do better.”

The only thing wrong was the mosquitos but that's not their fault. We will stay again if in the area. The pool and hot tub was nice. The showers and bathroom were extra nice. The best showers and bathroom of any park we have stayed.

I've been here a little over 2 years now. This RV Resort is very clean and grounds crew are always busy keeping the grounds looking great.Front desk ladies are just as sweet as can be and very helpful. There is a laundromat with washers, dryers, and a place to fold your clothes and is always clean. They also, have a separate area for showering and each room is very spacious with tile flooring. There is a sitting area with a TV, pool table and a small Kitchen area with a coffee maker and microwave. There is a soft drink vending machine available as well. There is also a sitting area outside overlooking the lake. There is a Fitness Center with a little bit of everything to get a great workout in.There's a swimming pool in which they heat if it is cool out and a hot tub. Pool area is always clean. They also have bicycles available for tenants to use.The lake is beautiful and you're allowed to put your boat, kayak, or jet ski in if you're a tenant here. They also have paddle boats to use if you so desire. Great place to relax and unwind. You're allowed to fish if you so wish. Love the beautiful sunsets❤️There are BBQ pits available and picnic tables throughout the resort.Mr. Roger the maintenance man whom drives around in the red golf cart is as sweet as can be and is always helpful. The owner of this Resort truly cares about his tenants and our safety. Thank you Mr. Stanley.
