“I just finished a long-distance move with a 26-foot Penske truck, covering over 1100 miles of some pretty rough roads – we're talking potholes, bumps, sharp turns, and frequent stops. “Rented a moving truck for an in state move about 2.5 hours away, love that it only cost $299 for 3 days and $100 additional per extra day with unlimited miles. Ended up taking 5 trips to get our household goods, an 8'W x 20' L x 8'H Chicken Coop/Run, my wife's garden, 4 cubic yards of dirt that we transplanted in garden soil and chicken feed bags, an entire kitchen and 1200 sq ft of flooring that our buyers didn't want, and we got incredible gas mileage. Also, we loved that there was only a one time charge for Damage insurance and an appliance dolly instead of daily rates like the other guys.Would definitely recommend and use Penske again the next time we need a moving truck.”

“I had a great experience. This van was perfect for me. The price point was fantastic. However I have a question. I took the van full tank. After 3.2 miles, I topped it up near my home. It took $7.93 worth of gas at $3.29. That's 2.4g. It was another 3.2 miles back. So, I paid $7.94 for 6.4 miles. It doesn't add up. B My feeling is the tank was not full when I took the van.

I'm not bitching too much about this. But you may want to check into the practice at your U-Haul locations. It is possible for someone to siphon off some gas. Indicator will look like it is full but it is not. Unfortunately our fuel indicators are not accurate. But this practice needs to be investigated.

I'm giving a 4 due to this issue. Otherwise it would be 5.”
