  I recently revisited Build-A-Bear Workshop in Waco, and it brought back a flood of wonderful memories from my childhood. I used to visit this store frequently with my dad, and the joy of creating my very own stuffed animal remains one of my fondest memories.
  
  Walking into the store, I was immediately greeted by the colorful and inviting atmosphere. The beautifully arranged selection of bears, outfits, and accessories overwhelmed my senses, just like it did when I was a child. The staff was friendly and enthusiastic, ready to help every customer create their perfect furry friend.
  
  The process of selecting a bear and watching it come to life is truly magical. I appreciated the variety of options, from classic bears to unique animals, allowing for a personal touch. The interactive stations where you can stuff your bear, add a heart with a special wish, and dress it up are still just as delightful as I remember.
  
  The store maintains a fun and playful vibe, making it a perfect spot for families and kids of all ages. Despite the changes in my life since my last visit, it felt like I had stepped into a time capsule of happiness that reminded me of carefree days spent with my dad.
  
  Overall, my trip to Build-A-Bear in Waco was a heartwarming experience filled with nostalgia. Whether you’re a parent looking to create memories with your child or an adult reminiscing about your own childhood, this store continues to deliver joy and creativity.   I’ve had two back to back disappointing visits. This time, on Valentine’s Day, I take my daughter for a special date. They have 3 employees working. We couldn’t get one person to help with the birth certificate, they couldn’t be bothered. So we wait in line for 10ish minutes behind one customer to check out. The line is growing. The girl checking out had green hair, and a white haired lady behind the counter not paying attention to the line is just fiddling with stuff behind the counter. I had gotten roller skates, 2 pairs, and 4 shoes cause we couldn’t get them open to dress the pig. We have hair dryer as well. 10 items on the counter and green haired girl says “do you want a bag or box?” Um, like duh. There was no way we were carrying all that,plus push a stroller. Just no customer awareness. Boxes are homes for the animals, they should be standard. My daughter loves the boxes. So I asked for a box and bag. Of course she doesn’t listen and throws, literally throws, everything in a bag. I asked for a box. She heavily sighs and throws everything into the box. Mind you I spent $100, on essentially a stuffed animal. Made me feel so bad for asking for both. But we left with everything thrown in the box and not even thank you. No birth certificate, which I had asked green haired girl if it had printed. I told her we couldn’t figure it out and no offer from any employee to help. Expect to track down employees, not be thanked or listened to.

  We went to get a bear for my granddaughter's 3rd birthday. Very kid friendly and fun even for the adults.

  Truly an embarrassment. We tried to run a scavenger hunt for our daughter's birthday, leaving a clue at the store. Talked to several employees and they said it was okay but the day of the manager took the clues and claimed no one cleared the activity. We were going to buy every kid at the party a bear as a party favor, but the manager was so disrespectful that we decided not to. It ruined our daughter's birthday party and they didn't seem to care about losing a dozen customers so . . .
