“My grandparents live in Axtell and have a bad time with stray cats just showing up. There was a litter of kittens born to a feral mama cat. We caught 2 of the kittens and brought them in for the free low cost spay and neuter to help prevent more babies. The process is easy, to bring them in and they explain everything. We ended up keeping the kittens inside a room. until they were healed and then let them back outside. We never could catch the mama cat as she always outsmarted the trap. Definitely a servixe that is needed and I am extremely thankful they have this program 🙏 they do clip the ear since they are feral outdoor cats. They do this because if someone else traps them they can know they are already spayed.”

“I love y'all you've helped me and my pets so much over the years. You're a major lifeline in my life and when yall give me more than I can use I make sure to share with others who are also in need. I've always had a very good experience over the years coming to Caritas to shop in the pantry. So I expect my 99.9% experience with yall to maintain and am givong yall 5 stars. Although today was different. While I started shopping a bigger Hispanic man did not give me instruction as to how many items or which coolers were what at the very start. I am hard of hearing due to a couple of things and I'm also autistic and adhd. I know, I've been coming to the pantry for a long time I'm one of the regulars but I still need clear instructions and not to be yelled at when I'm in the wrong cooler. I also did not recieve the proper amounts of a certain items (less than I later found out) because he was focused on the gentleman behind me and talking like they were old friends. I love yall and im so grateful for yall. I have a hard time socially as it is and I really need clear detailed instructions each time. I had to ask to recieve meat and ask how many bread we can have still missed some things because of lack of direction. I didnt appreciate being yelled at when I was choosing an item out of the wrong cooler either. Maybe I didnt hear him idk i only heard him yell at me. Might be my perception as well I was definitely overstimulated. Everyone has a bad day and thats what grace is for I'm not trying to get anyone into trouble. Everyone is allowed to have a bad day. I just want to be understood. I totally understand some folks are difficult for yall but I'm not one. Just autistic and adhd without any real resources except yall. I really want to continue coming and I will but please ask the pantry guides to be aware not all disabilities are visible. Thank you. Love yall so much.”

“The Salvation Army Waco Family Thrift Store is a great thrift store where you can some some great items and clothes at a good price all the while helping out a great organization that gives back to the community. It’s nice that all the money raised by the Salvation Army stays right in the city that it is raised. They have so many great programs to help those in need or down on their luck. God bless the work they do.”

“We recently adopted Talon from Pet Circle. The staff was amazing! The dogs were well kept and cared for. Talon looked as tho he had been recently groomed nail trim and all!.. Talon seemed very attached to the gentleman showing us him. Which showed me how well he had been treated there. They had plenty of room to play. While I was there I watched the staff take other dogs into other play areas to allow them to play and exercise. The staff really seemed to enjoy their job. The way the staff would talk about the pets being adopted was as tho they were really going to miss them. You could hear the love in their voices as they spoke about them. The adoption process was super simple and fast. 10/10 absolutely recommend if you are looking for a pet to come here. These fur babies were truly cared both emotionally and health.”

“This YMCA has so much to offer! My daughter does swim there, and I am very impressed with the facility as a whole. They have so many activities going on at all times; from racquetball to volleyball games and kids’ gymnastics classes to all sorts of adult classes. Their child care area is impressive also, with many different rooms for different ages. My only recommendation is to figure out how to add some air flow to the pool area. It’s too hot for the instructors and the parents rarely stay in there during their child’s lesson. Overall it’s a great place with so much to do.”
