It was a little busy when I was here last (the Sunday {April 7th} before the big eclipse) but once I got into a pump and paid (cash at the kiosk) it was quick for me to get in and out. The attendant was friendly and quick to set my pump. As far as getting gas goes, it was a smooth experience and I enjoyed fueling up here.

A very good grocery store chain. I recently heard that the store or one of the stores in Corpus Christi has totally eliminated the self-check-out mechanism and opened more lanes with human employees. This should be done Immediately in the rest of the locations or, failing that, declining to replace the servo-checkout mechanisms as they fail. They would soon be gone. It may not be practical but it might be worthwhile to encourage patrons to respect other shoppers by complying with he 15-items or less signs. Enlarging the signs and placing them at electric-cart-eye-level might help as well as pictograms conveying the message. A further incentive might be to provide a modest discount to customers who do not violate the limited item lines and do not fly into a rage when remediated and reminded.

This particular HEB is my top preference for my gasoline purchases. The new Android touch screen pumps are a neat addition to their already nice gas pumps.
