Though I understand, Home Depot is a large, corporate style business, turning away any business is just bad. I had a couple of things in my basket, and before I loaded it with larger items I needed to purchase, I went to the customer service desk to ask if they took a particular style of payment. There were no customers in line and 3 to 4 employees standing behind the counter. The girl came back and stated that they do except the particular type of payment I wanted to use however, it was time-consuming and could potentially freeze up the registers. They preferred to not accept it. They stated they were short on cashiers, and it would tie up cashiers. I put what few items I had back and left. I will no longer shop in this place that I have shopped in for years. If accepting a particular type of payment sets you back about five minutes then I would rather be set back five minutes then lose $1200 worth of business.

My wife called the day before and was told the insulation blower machine would be returned by 11am the next day. This machine is free when you buy 20 or more of the blow in insulation. I have been trying to get this machine since 7/18. We always calling and checking both stores near us. I arrived before 1030am and was told the Pro desk was closed that day and to go to the Returns desk. was standing in that line at 1030am. 10 minutes later I was next and asked about the machine. The cashier told me that it wasn't back yet and it was due back at 11am. Told him I would wait. The customer returns it right at 11am. As I am waiting another customer come up at 1105am and say he wants to rent the machine. this machine is first come first serve. This person says he's been waiting since 530am and talking up a story about how he is losing OT and stuff. The store doesn't open till 6am. He claims he's been at the Pro desk all morning which he wasn't there when I walked in and checked. The cashier said I was there first. Guy starts getting upset. Tells the cashier get a manager. The manager on the phone describe me as waiting for the machine. Manager finally comes up and says oh well he's been waiting for it all morning. I said this is not right and it's first come first serve. I told them both he was not at the Pro desk as he claimed and I was first at the service desk. Also said store doesn't open till 6am. Manager was not following their own rules and seem like she knew him and was giving him the I know you BS. Worst store and manager with her BS. Cashiers and other employees were helpful and courteous though.

Return cash back to customer who canceled a refrigerator that was never delivered. Went to Waco store to cancel. Told we could pick up cash in 3 days. Waited 3 days, started calling Waco store. Talked with 4 different employees. They will not let you speak to a manager. We were expecting a return call, it never came. I was told by one person, it would be 10 more days. We have already purchased another refrigerator from Lowes and it was delivered the next day. Home Depot has had our money since 6-15-22.

They wouldn’t exchange our 8 pieces 3/8 plywood for 1/2 when I bought the wrong size. No paper receipt in hand no exchange. I asked for help to load it back into my truck since they refused to exchange it. They straight up said no. 3/8 plywood is so heavy im 5’4 120 lbs and a girl and they refused to help me load 8 sheets. They were glad to help a very large man in a store electric cart load his small window unit as he WALKED out with them but they won’t help a small woman.

Will never shop at home depot again. One,I could never get any help finding anything, although there plenty of workers just standing around. Was told by one of them that's not my department. Second, after getting my items, all heavy and bulky, I head to the check out line. I have two baskets, both with over 150 lbs of weight in them. You could clearly tell I was not having an easy time. I walked by 8 workers who all just stared at me and never even asked if I needed help. Third, when I get to checkout, the girl there told me if I wanted to by the two bags at the bottom of my basket, I would have to get them to be scanned because they didn't pay her enough to do all that!!
