The rooms are a little dated, but clean and comfortable beds. Spacious plan. Breakfast was your usual reconstituted eggs, microwave sausage and all. Sadly, the white bread was stale and dry — old recycled bread. A tray of dirty dishes was left overnight in the coffee area for all to see.

The girl at the front desk was super sweet, so friendly and helpful. She gave the warm greeting with smile and helped on my request.
The room and the bathroom looked clean and simple. But there were a few holes on the blanket; one was a quite big hole.
I stayed at the 2nd floor on Friday night and got up around 7am on Saturday due to the very noisy lawn mowing outside. It’s too early for Saturday. I could also hear the voice and sound from the neighbored rooms, including the room from the top of the ceiling.
The complimentary breakfast was not bad.

Roaches in the lobby. Lobby bathroom sink doesn't work. Emergency exit with stairwell jammed shut. Cracks in tile shower. Rooms seem redone, but still have a stuffy smell that can't be aired out. Walls pretty thin, even for chain hotel standards. All workers were exceptionally nice. I'll be looking for something else next time I'm in Waco.

Harassed BY Housekeeping!
We checked in late @2am due to a flat tire on i35 so the nice lady at check in had given us late check out @1pm the following day. We'll Housekeeping didn't even knock the following morning and barged in on my wife and family sleeping @8am! With the do not disturbing hanger on door!! She then proceeded to tell me I had not been approved for late check out and needed to hurry up and gossiping in spanish with a fellow co worker We felt very disrespected and violated! Management needs to terminate that 1 Housekeeping lady

I was very disappointed they have bed bugs and by the other reviews looks like its been an issue before and they seem to dismiss it. I didn’t receive any compensation for the horrible issue. They switched my room snd i slept on the couch. The girls up front soo sweet and I feel bad that they even work there. NEVER AGAIN i will spend the money and stay at 1928 hotel next time!

We decided to come up from Dallas to visit Magnolia. This place was very refreshing. The staff was very hospitable when we arrived, the rooms were clean, and there was a great breakfast in the morning. The room price was very affordable. A must stay

I stayed here two weeks ago. Loved it so I continued booking at this hotel since I have to come back every week for clinicals. First off, the doors were extremely hard to open and close. You have to REALLY push it and pull. Second, the girls in the front desk were SUPER sweet and helpful. I was able to speak to John (Sales Manager) who gave me a discounted rate and helped me book my stay for the next couple of weeks. I woke up this morning to a baby roach or bed bug, not sure but it was crawling on my bed. Tiny bugs in the shower and freaked out. I checked out and told the girls in the front and they were disgusted for me. They were so sorry and truly understand my frustration. She told me to call John and explain my situation so I can get a refund and cancel the rest of the weeks I would be staying there. Super duper helpful and did not check me out officially so the managers can refund me and make it easier. I called John later in the day, explaining my situation and he was terribly sorry. He then proceed to downplay the bugs and said that EVERY hotel in Waco will have this problem. In addition, he said that they are having a hard time keeping the bugs away because it was summer time and the heat makes it hard. I’m waiting on the charge to drop from my bank right now. He was very short with me when I told him to cancel and that I will not be staying anymore. Horrible. Do NOT stay here. It is so nasty and the floors are sticky so I always wore my slides. Never ever again. I feel so bad for the girls in the front desk. Listen to the other reviews!!!!!

When I first checked in I was given a room where the AC didn’t work. Now in this room. The remote to the tv doesn’t work. There’s no microwave in the room. You have to fight with the door to get it to close or open because of the heat and humidity in the hallways. Did I mention I was on the third floor. I can see the first floor having that issue but not the upper floors. The only thing I can think of is that they are trying to keep operating costs down. Anyway when I spoke with the front desk I got the nicest sorry there’s nothing that they can do ever. The site says they have a bar on the ground level. It’s not a bar. They have a few beers or alcoholic beverages in a mini fridge that are either in a can or a bottle that they can pour into a glass for you. Oh and if you don’t want the drink charged to your room, you have to pay cash. There isn’t an ATM on site either. I’m staying here on business so I really don’t want my personal beverages going on the company credit card. This is definitely a hotel that doesn’t understand hospitality if they try and force you to do things outside of what other hotels consider to be just a standard thing they offer. I’d like to suggest which ever brainstorming team that developed these processes and procedures to please go back to the drawing board and try again.
Rooms: No microwave. You may need assistance getting in and out of your hotel room door.
Food and drinks: Drinks are in 2 separate little mini fridges with not a lot of options to choose from.

Where do I even start?! This hotel is an absolute joke. Well the 2 sweet girls at the front desk were very nice, professional and caring but the manager and her manager — rude, unprofessional and need some major customer service training .. I booked a week stay here because the reviews online were all positive and the pictures looked clean and nice… not sure where those pics were taken because the rooms here were absolutely filthy and disgusting … first off the 3rd floor smells like pet urine and looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in some time.. our room was dirty, it just felt gross and I couldn’t imagine staying in there for a week.. I asked to be switched to a clean room and that room was even worse .. I asked for a refund considering how all rooms I was shown were
Filthy and the manager still charged me 2 nights and cancellation fees as he told me to vacate the property.. I will be reaching out to Corporate as soon as they open in the morning and would never stay here again. If I could give zero stars I would… poor girls that work the front desk, that manager seems like a complete jerk to work under!

The lighting in the bathroom needs to be brighter. Can't see to put on makeup. Otherwise, room is nice and bed very comfortable. Clean too!!

The only “complaint” with the hotel is that everything is at least 15 minutes and I was double charged way higher than the advertised price and the breakfast consisted of chopped breakfast meats.
The rooms were clean, well kept. There is a pool (it’s hot in there and the pool is not heated) gym, and a business center. They said the bar was open but definitely did not see it open.
You do pay more to be on a higher floor, highest floor is the 5th floor
