Avoid this place. Their so-called “promotions” are unfair, and the employees will mislead you. The “2-month discount” is a joke. It has been my experience with other storage companies that the day day you move in the same day your will bill will be do the following month. However with them, unless you move in on the 1st of the month, you won’t get it—because they force everyone’s bill to be due on the 1st. I moved in a few days before the month ended, and instead of honoring the promotion for 60 days, they gave me a pathetic prorated 50% discount for a few days. That’s not a full 2 months.
And the insurance—even worse. Unless you hand them proof of insurance before the 1st, they tack on an insurance fee. Bring it even on the 1st is too late, they said. I tried to provide it during business hours on the 1st, but no one was even there. When I brought it on the 2nd—before I even paid my bill on the 3rd—they still charged me. Completely unfair.
They don’t tell you these tricks up front, and they have no interest in making things right. This is not a small company —it’s a big company with locations in multiple states. They know exactly what they’re doing, and it’s taking advantage of customers.
Do yourself a favor: go to a real, reputable storage company. These people will rip you off.
