My experience with who you hall at first seemed easy but when I got my items back.I was missing several things out of my storage and a lot of my specialism's like stuffed animals and paintings gathered mildew and mold. So if you do decide to rent a unit here make sure you put anything precious in a vacuum sealed bag. I advise not using the non. A. C units.

Do not rent storage here! Their system is always having issues. You can only get in and out of storage units during reg office hours. Managers are too lazy to look at history to solve issues.

Excellent experience. Everything was super simple. The staff was friendly, the truck was clean and the return process was quick and easy. I would definitely use this location again and would refer them to anyone.

I have used the new Uhaul building drive-in bays since December. All has been well until Tuesday. I had my last load ready to put in storage. Huge, fierce thunderstorms and lightning all morning. Got to Texas Central Pkwy location, and the new electric bay doors would not open.
I drove to the office (this is a Texas size location) and asked the manager to please get someone to open the door. "The doors are broken." That's all she said. The manager didn't even try to help.
I'm suggesting to corporate that they install a manual pull chain to open doors if electricity goes out.
However, in this instance, the manager had turned off the electricity to the doors. Very poor customer service.

The app experience is abysmal. Frustrating at best for a techie. Cannot zoom in on receipts. So that feature alone is worthless. I won't be using it again.
The staff person was taking care of another customer, finished, and walked out without even acknowledging us. We assumed incorrectly that they would be right back. After 15 minutes and trudging through the app and finally figuring it out, we found the truck was only ready 30 minutes after our scheduled time.
The truck itself had a broken door. It did not close correctly. It clearly needed repair.
The only saving grace was the attendant who received the truck. She was delightful.
Overall, this was by far our worst experience with U-Haul.
Hopefully this wasn't typical.

I have used U-Haul many times over the years and have never had an experience this bad. They were unprofessional and lied about how much gas was in the truck upon its return. I had taken the truck to the gas station immediately before returning it and made sure it was at the correct amount. I even had my daughter and husband confirm. I did not take a picture upon dropping it back off, which I have always done, but we were tired and the person at the desk stated their system was down and were unable to check the truck back in at that time. I got a receipt later by email that they had charged us over $100 in fuel costs alone. Almost $300 in total to rent the truck for 5 hours and less than 50 miles driven. Will NOT be using this location ever again.

They will continue to fraudulently charge storage fees on uboxes which have been cleaned, returned, and no longer in your possession in any way. They also have not reached back out to me after I politely called to ask this to be corrected (promised to get back in 3 business days and have made no attempt), necessitating a dispute through credit company.

Rented a trailer for one day, $27. Suppose to drop off at 8:00am. They don’t open until 9am. Called and they didn’t check it until 10am.The bill Overcharged for$20. Because I did not check in online during drop off. I wasn’t told about it. Call and asked they said it is in the fine prints. Too bad !

Brit, Andy, and Danny were all so professional and helpful! I needed to rent pickup truck same day to pick up a new bed frame and it was so quick, easy, and affordable. Returning after hours was super simple by using their app.

I rented a 26-foot truck with an auto towing trailer for a cross country move. Originally my pickup location was in Waco at the Woodway location on Texas Central Parkway. Upon arrival, the reservation was not ready at the time scheduled. The only person working left to go prepare it. A half hour later it was finally ready. As I drove off with the truck, I learned it didn’t have a functioning air conditioner. This is in Texas at the end of June when it’s 106 outside (the actual temperature that day) with a high percent humidity. I returned to the location, and they told me that there wasn’t a single location between Dallas and Austin that had a 26-foot truck available. Let alone that and a trailer. They told me that there might be a 20 foot one in a town a half hour away. “That may be the best we can do”. I asked the employee to call her manager. He wasn’t in and didn’t respond to the 3 texts she sent him. Finally, he texted her back and informed her that she should have me email him my phone number and a copy of my contract. Information he already had access to. I send it anyway with a request for him to call me asap. He never called or responded to my email in any way. I still haven’t heard from him. Finally, the poor woman working this location found a 26-foot truck an hour away. Luckily it reportedly happened to have a trailer available too. She assured me it would be ready for me when I get there. I had to demand at least the same contract price as they composed the new contract and location. When I requested compensation or a discount, all they told me was that they would give me an extra ~70 miles for the extra distance that the Uhaul would have to be driven. When I arrive at the new location, no one had communicated to or prepared this location for me coming. They weren’t even open. Gratefully it is attached to a gas station. I convinced the attendant to call Uhaul and allow her to give me the key. The Uhaul representative told me I could take the truck but not the trailer as there was no one to hook it up. I convinced them to let me assume liability and hook it up myself. I then had to remove the (different) trailer already attached to the truck and hook up the trailer I need. Not to mention the fact that I had ordered a dolly and blankets that I had to track down. In total this led to over a 4-hour delay. I had hired movers who I had to pay for their lost time. Not to mention my time, additional miles, and gas for my own car and the Uhaul that were wasted. Once I loaded my personal belongings in the truck and was finally on the road, I learned that the new truck was out of washer fluid, the switch to keep the brights on was broken and the shocks were shot (making it a very bumpy ride). The level of dysfunctionality of this experience is completely unacceptable on so many levels. Cross country moving, or even moving at all is already hard. That’s why customers value a company’s reputation. Even if that means paying a little more. Uhaul brags of this quality. Yet this experience illustrates Uhaul's lack of concern for quality of product (nonfunctional air conditioning, shot shocks, washer fluid empty, nonfunctional brights), lack of compliance to quality control (not knowing the AC and aforementioned other items weren’t working - and who knows what else), failure of business model including having appropriate inventory (only having one functioning 26 foot truck between Dallas and Austin), lack of concern for the customer (take your pick of all the things I had to do just to get my original contracted items at the same price I had originally contracted), and poor customer service (no reply from any management or outreach from Uhaul in any way). Some of these are problems on a local level but some are on a companywide level. If you’re moving, I strongly recommend not using Uhaul. Your money and time are better spent elsewhere.
