They will continue to fraudulently charge storage fees on uboxes which have been cleaned, returned, and no longer in your possession in any way. They also have not reached back out to me after I politely called to ask this to be corrected (promised to get back in 3 business days and have made no attempt), necessitating a dispute through credit company.

Rented a trailer for one day, $27. Suppose to drop off at 8:00am. They don’t open until 9am. Called and they didn’t check it until 10am.The bill Overcharged for$20. Because I did not check in online during drop off. I wasn’t told about it. Call and asked they said it is in the fine prints. Too bad !

Brit, Andy, and Danny were all so professional and helpful! I needed to rent pickup truck same day to pick up a new bed frame and it was so quick, easy, and affordable. Returning after hours was super simple by using their app.

I rented a 26-foot truck with an auto towing trailer for a cross country move. Originally my pickup location was in Waco at the Woodway location on Texas Central Parkway. Upon arrival, the reservation was not ready at the time scheduled. The only person working left to go prepare it. A half hour later it was finally ready. As I drove off with the truck, I learned it didn’t have a functioning air conditioner. This is in Texas at the end of June when it’s 106 outside (the actual temperature that day) with a high percent humidity. I returned to the location, and they told me that there wasn’t a single location between Dallas and Austin that had a 26-foot truck available. Let alone that and a trailer. They told me that there might be a 20 foot one in a town a half hour away. “That may be the best we can do”. I asked the employee to call her manager. He wasn’t in and didn’t respond to the 3 texts she sent him. Finally, he texted her back and informed her that she should have me email him my phone number and a copy of my contract. Information he already had access to. I send it anyway with a request for him to call me asap. He never called or responded to my email in any way. I still haven’t heard from him. Finally, the poor woman working this location found a 26-foot truck an hour away. Luckily it reportedly happened to have a trailer available too. She assured me it would be ready for me when I get there. I had to demand at least the same contract price as they composed the new contract and location. When I requested compensation or a discount, all they told me was that they would give me an extra ~70 miles for the extra distance that the Uhaul would have to be driven. When I arrive at the new location, no one had communicated to or prepared this location for me coming. They weren’t even open. Gratefully it is attached to a gas station. I convinced the attendant to call Uhaul and allow her to give me the key. The Uhaul representative told me I could take the truck but not the trailer as there was no one to hook it up. I convinced them to let me assume liability and hook it up myself. I then had to remove the (different) trailer already attached to the truck and hook up the trailer I need. Not to mention the fact that I had ordered a dolly and blankets that I had to track down. In total this led to over a 4-hour delay. I had hired movers who I had to pay for their lost time. Not to mention my time, additional miles, and gas for my own car and the Uhaul that were wasted. Once I loaded my personal belongings in the truck and was finally on the road, I learned that the new truck was out of washer fluid, the switch to keep the brights on was broken and the shocks were shot (making it a very bumpy ride). The level of dysfunctionality of this experience is completely unacceptable on so many levels. Cross country moving, or even moving at all is already hard. That’s why customers value a company’s reputation. Even if that means paying a little more. Uhaul brags of this quality. Yet this experience illustrates Uhaul's lack of concern for quality of product (nonfunctional air conditioning, shot shocks, washer fluid empty, nonfunctional brights), lack of compliance to quality control (not knowing the AC and aforementioned other items weren’t working - and who knows what else), failure of business model including having appropriate inventory (only having one functioning 26 foot truck between Dallas and Austin), lack of concern for the customer (take your pick of all the things I had to do just to get my original contracted items at the same price I had originally contracted), and poor customer service (no reply from any management or outreach from Uhaul in any way). Some of these are problems on a local level but some are on a companywide level. If you’re moving, I strongly recommend not using Uhaul. Your money and time are better spent elsewhere.

You asked so here ya go. I made the reservation the day before. There was zero enthusiasm by any of the 3 there including a "field service manage" who seemed irritated(probably from the lack of enthusiasm in the air). It was raining. We was sent out the door with a "its all the way in the back. If there's anything in the way just lets us know." The equivalent of good luck. After we went and found the truck on the back side...in the rain....that I reserved the day before... it was of course the only one blocked in. Probably from a drop off the day before... when I reserved it. We went back up, gave them the keys and advised it was blocked in and let them bring it back up, ready to go like it should have been done to start with. Instead, we was ticking off about 45 minutes of the 6 hours I reserved it for. 45 minutes that I paid MY employees to stand around waiting on your employees. So I could figure out how much gas to leave for a 1/4 of a tank? To pay for tghe moving blankets that I didn't ask for or even have in the truck. GTFOH! DO better u-Haul. I'll pay more for a Ryder or penske truck next time. FYI, did you know they rent those at Home Depot?

I got there at the time set to pick-up my truck and trailer. It was a nice, clean new truck. It was not ready. I had to back up to 3 different trailers because they couldn’t get the lights to work. The decided to give me a old truck. (Early 2000’s) it was loud, smelled bad, speakers blown and almost 200,000 miles. The headlights were so dull and yellow driving down the road was dangerous they were so dim. The truck shook and rattled so bad going down the road, there was a chunk of foam missing from the steering wheel, you could almost watch the gas gauge move that’s how bad it is on gas. It was terrible. I paid a lot of money and I was given a junk back-up truck. It took almost two hours to pick up my truck because it wasn’t ready and the trailer issues. I returned the truck with 1/4 tank less than what I picked it up with and was charged $76. I knew I would be charged for gas, but $76 for 1/4 tank? Come on. That’s ridiculous.

I've been using Uhaul for 3 years now for college dorm summer storage, and I've always had a good experience. This year was a little more shambly due to a screw up with my reservation, and I ended up being moved around a little. However, Marissa was an absolute ANGEL! She literally bent over backwards to get me in there, get the cards I needed, the doors open, and was so helpful in all the confusion. Above and beyond!! This woman deserves a raise or something! Overall, the facilities are very clean and very secure, and they have equipment for loading and unloading storage, which is so convenient. I've loved working with them over the years!
