I stop by this location 3-4 times per week, and have been doing so for several months now. I come here because it is the closest post office to my location. If you don’t come first thing in the morning, then you should expect to wait in line for 20-40min on average. They are incredibly understaffed at all times. When the line gets really long, and has stopped moving (usually due to a difficult customer who refuses to accept the information that they are given), every now & then a second employee appears out from the back to help out. However, most of the time she doesn’t come and help and it is very frustrating to see her in the back & on her cell phone. The times that she actually comes out to help are few and far between. It is strange that the second employee doesn’t spend a little bit more time helping out the patrons who have been waiting in line for an unacceptable amount of time. There is usually one guy working there, who is smart, helpful, and friendly. He remembers who I am and what I came there to do. He is great, but he needs some help from his coworkers. I’m leaving 3 stars because even though they do offer 5 star service once you get to the front of the line, I’m deducting 2 stars due to the lack of managerial oversight, resulting in inefficient prioritization of the staff’s responsibilities, or possibly even the staff not taking responsibility at all.

First let me start off by saying that the ONE employee who is the ONLY one working 3 out of 3 times I have been to this location, does an amazing job for what he has to go through, I’m sure on a daily basis. Today I went in to ship 1 small bubble envelope… I kid you not, I stood in line for 1 hour while holding my 7 month old (I was alone). Never once did anyone come to help the employee to reduce the length of the line. This is insane. This is the last time I will come to this location, as it’s not the first issue. Another time we came in during the “walk-in” timeframe for passports - which was advertised for this location, just to be told when we showed up, “we can’t do that because we are understaffed and I’m the only one here” … again being the SAME ONE employee who works by himself. Granted it was flu season at the time, so we just chalked it up to that. After today, it’s a no-go for me on this one y’all! Go to another location and save yourself the headache.

Friday afternoon at 2:45 - 1 person working.
Line out the door. Poor planning or everyone on break? Everyone in line complaining. Typing this while in line - won’t come back to this location!

Customers beware- Gloria is a worker here who will work harder to dismiss you than to help you. She got mad at me while I was calling my wife for some information and worked harder than I’ve ever seen not to help me. She actually argued with me from behind the counter over something I said to my wife. Argumentative, petty, maybe the worst customer service in Waco. I hate it that this is the best they’ve got, because I still have to find a way to get my lost package.

I had a very expensive package to be delivered to my address here In waco .After tracking it for a week it made it here May 1st 10:08pm and May 2 3:11am, but suddenly it is now at a distribution center called Oak Creek Wisconsin. I've been getting package for a month and a half almost every other day or week and suddenly this particular package is mysteriously sent to another place. What in the world is going on??

Couldn't deliver due to not being able to access the mailbox, when they have the gate code and stop at the apartment complex every single day. Most terrible post office I've ever had the displeasure to deal with.

I accidentally mailed a large envelope without stamps in the drive through box. I went inside to find out if they could retrieve it for me so I could add stamps. I was pessimistic, but they cheerfully retrieved it for, I added stamps, and it is now on its way to my grandson. Thank you Jonathan and his supervisor for being gracious and helpful.
Thanks

Came in today since this post office is right by the Hospital to get 2 books of stamps. I asked the worker Griselda how much was a book of stamps now. Not only did she say I just started I don't know nothing I just scan and tell you how much it is. Omg how you don't know how much a book of 20 stamps is now? Spoke to the manager Jennifer she didn't know either she said we just scan and charge. PLEASE BE AWARE NO ONE SEEMS TO KNOW PRICES they just charge you ... Will not be stopping at this post office again..

We went in on two different days for a passport. The first day we waited for someone to come in took 20 minutes and was ignored. Their internet is down! Second - waited without an appt , the site says walk in welcome, waited 30 minutes for her to tell us we HAVE TO HAVE an appointment. One of her appointments no showed and she still wouldn’t take 15 minutes to process it. She just didn’t want to do it.

Its nice that it has the 24 hour services, but it makes no sense when you can't use them. The drop off shoot is always packed and doesn't get checked routinely. Mail isn't delivered every day to my workplace. Very inconvenient. The lobby is nice, but it's definitely a smoking mirrors type of situation. Operations need to be overhauled and reset at this point.
